YES!
I've been writing mock chapters just to help me cope until you post.
Ugh.
I'm sorry.
I'm just being really impatient.
Supposedly, my guitars are going to be done tomorrow,
So I'm hoping that will entertain me for a bit.
But this is like...
My favorite fic right now.
Seriously.
I love it when things get crazy.

well um if you would like to get on Facebook or something and give me an idea of what the heck to write for my chapter....
I would appreciate it.
I think I'm having difficulty figuring out a way to incorporate what happened to you and transition my part of the story to two days later.
then if I can get something written that I'm happy with...
it can be your turn again.

Chapter Twenty Four
Crystal
I sighed as Kevin and I walked through a park that was near the hotel. It was beautiful outside, with the sun shining brightly in the clear, blue sky above our heads. A slight breeze was present as the bottom of my purple baby doll tank top blew up off my light blue capri pants.
“Penny for your thoughts,” I heard Kevin say as he took a hold of my hand.
I looked down at our, now connected, hands, unable to keep the smile that graced my lips away. Looking up at the man next to me, my smile grew a little as I saw the caring look in his beautiful, hazel eyes. “Just thinking,” I said.
“Care to share?” he asked as he paused in his walking, causing me to stop as well.
“Just trying to convince myself that I’m actually in L.A., walking along side an amazing guy the day after getting to see one of my favorite bands perform two nights in a row,” I told him after I turned and faced him.
“Well, I have a bit of a similar situation,” he told me. I felt my face scrunch up in confusion, but before I could ask what he meant, he continued talking. “I’m having a tough time believing that the incredible girl that I had been talking to online is here, with me, in L.A. Plus I still can’t believe that she forgave me for hurting her the way that I did. I must admit, I was expecting her to be upset with me for much, much longer.”
I smiled at him and stepped closer. “Well, it seems that this incredible girl of yours is just full of surprises.”
“Hmm, well I’m happy that she is. It would have been torture for me if she was upset with me the whole time she was out here,” he said, taking a step closer to me. The two of us were just inches apart now.
“I’m sure being upset with you for that long would have been torture for her as well.”
Kevin smiled and closed the gap between us by placing his lips on mine. After only a few seconds, he pulled back. “Crystal?”
I was confused as to why he said my name as a question. I heard something that sounded like a weight hitting wood and turned my head, looking around for the source of the noise. When I turned back to Kevin, I was surprised to see him a few feet away from him.
“Crystal? You awake?” I saw Kevin say, making me confused once again. What did he mean, was I awake? Of course I was awake. I heard the noise of something pounding on wood once again and everything disappeared.
I turned over in my bed, pulling the covers along with me as I snuggled my head farther into the pillow, willing the noise to go away. I wanted to get back to the park and Kevin. The sound of someone knocking on the door sounded again however.
“Crystal?” I heard Kevin’s voice ask. Wait, Kevin? I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes.
Darn, the park and everything was just a dream. Slightly disappointed, I made my way out of my hotel bed and walked over to the door, brushing my hand through my hair on my way.
Looking through the peep hole, I saw that it was indeed Kevin outside of my door. Placing my hand on the door knob, I turned it, opening the door to reveal Kevin with his hand raised, ready to knock once again.
As Kevin’s eyes landed on mine, I saw him smile. “Kevin? What’s up?” I asked as I stepped aside, letting Kevin pass me as he made his way into my room. Closing the door behind him, I cleared my throat, trying to make the grogginess in my voice go away. Turning around, I saw Kevin seated on the edge of the hotel bed that I had just woken up in.
“I woke you up, didn’t I?” Kevin asked, his hand making its way to the back of his neck.
I placed my hand over my mouth to cover up a yawn. “Yeah, you did, but it’s alright.” My eyes landed on the alarm clock on the night table next to the bed. “I had the alarm set to go off soon anyway,” I said as I leant over to shut off the alarm before it ever got the chance to go off.
“Still, I’m sorry,” he told me.
“It’s alright, Kev. Seriously,” I told him, setting my hand on his knee to reassure him that I meant what I said. I saw a small smile grace his lips, before it disappeared only to have a look of worry to take its place on his features. “What’s wrong, Kev?”
“Have you seen Nick or Ellie since they ran off last night?”
“No, not that I recall. Why?”
Kevin placed his head in his hands before rubbing his face and slapping his hands on his legs. “I’ve been trying to call Nick but I can’t get a hold of him. I even checked his room, and it doesn’t look like his bed was slept in,” Kevin said before he stood up and began pacing.
I stood up as well and placed my hands on his shoulders to stop his pacing. “I’m sure they are both fine Kevin,” I told him. He looked a little doubtful though. “How about this? Give me ten minutes to get dressed and I’ll help you look around the hotel for them. For all we know, they are both asleep in Ellie’s room or down in the lobby or something.”
Kevin nodded his head. “Thanks, Crystal,” he said, pulling me into his arms before releasing me.
I grabbed some clothes from my suitcase and made my way into the bathroom. After I dressed, I noticed that I had grabbed the exact clothes that I had been wearing in my dream. Making my way out of the bathroom, I grabbed my hotel keycard and cell phone, placing each in one of my pockets.
“Let’s go.”
Kevin and I spent the next twenty five minutes going over every place that we could think of where they may be, before making our way to Ellie’s room with a key that Kevin had sweet talked out of the receptionist in the lobby. I have to admit that I was a little jealous having to watch that, but I shook it off as we made our way into her room.
Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was Ellie’s made bed. Kevin and I looked at each other and I knew we were thinking the same thing. The bed hadn’t been slept in.
“I’m going to try and call Nick again,” Kevin told me as he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket. I watched as he placed the phone up to his ear and starting pacing yet again. “Come on Nick. Pick up,” he whispered into his phone before his face lit up.
“Nick? You alright?” I watched as the look on Kevin’s face went from relief to happy back to worry again. “Where you the two of you?” I heard him ask. I watched as he grabbed a nearby pen and wrote something down on the hotel stationary that was on the night table by Ellie’s bed, before he tore off the top sheet. “Alright, Crystal and I are on our way. Make sure to call Mom and Dad and we’ll try and get a hold of Joe,” he said before hanging up.
“Come on,” he said to me, rushing past me and out of the room. I was shocked for a moment before running after Kevin and catching him at the elevator.
“What’s going on, Kevin?” I asked as the doors opened and we both made our way inside. I had already been getting worried, but with the way Kevin was acting after that phone call, the worried feeling was quickly growing.
“Ellie’s in the hospital,” Kevin told me. Alright, now I was most definitely worried.
Kevin and I made our way to his car and both got in. As we drove, I tried calling Tricia because I knew her and Joe had a date planned for the day. All I got was her voicemail though, so I left a message telling her what hospital Ellie was at and that we’d see her and Joe there when they got there.
Twenty minutes, and a very quiet and somewhat tense car ride, later, we arrived outside of Los Angeles General Hospital. Kevin found a parking spot soon enough and the two of us made our way through the emergency doors.
Kevin was making his way to the receptionist desk but I stopped him about halfway there. He looked at me confused but I just pointed to a spot behind him. He turned and saw that I had pointed to his brother and redirected himself. Once again I followed quickly behind him.
“You okay?” Kevin asked Nick, pulling his younger brother into a hug.
“Yeah, I’m okay,” Nick answered, pulling away from Kevin. I noticed the dark circles under his eyes and the concerned look in his eyes.
“How’s Ellie?” I asked.
Nick focused his attention on me for a moment before looking at a set of doors across the room. “I don’t know,” he said dejectedly.
“What happened?” Kevin asked.
“I don’t know. I went after her last night after she ran off. I found her in an alley and…and she was bleeding. There was…so…so much blood,” Nick said as tears welled up in his eyes. “I was so scared Kev. I’m still scared. She has to be alright. I can’t lose her,” he said as a sob managed to escape.
I watched as Kevin pulled his younger brother into his arms and held him as he cried. “It’s alright, Nick. She’s going to be okay,” he said as Kevin’s eyes caught mine. I was so hoping that Kevin was right.

Chapter Twenty-Five
But you don't know what you got til it's gone
And you don't know what it's like to feel so low
And every time you smile, you laugh, you glow
You don't even know

Ellie
Just as Nick's phone call with 911 ended, I felt a surge of pain rush through my previously numb legs. I groaned softly. "My legs..." I heard myself say. Nick shushed me.
"T-They're cut," was all he said. By the sound of his voice, I knew it was bad. But what was he not telling me? I felt another rush of pain, causing me to cry out a little louder this time. "Hold on, Ellie. A little bit longer, and you'll be fine." Why was he saying that? I didn't understand. I felt his lips on mine for a short moment. He grabbed my hand. "Don't let go, Ellie."
"Mmm..." I mumbled. I was starting to fall asleep when Nick gave me a gentle shake.
"Ellie? Sweetheart, I need you to stay awake," he pleaded. "A little bit longer..." He held me tighter. "Oh God, please don't take her away from me." I didn't understand. Everything was a blur. What was happening?
"Nick..." I called, barely loud enough for even myself to hear. I was hardly holding onto his hand. My eyelids grew heavier until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.
"Ellie, baby, open your eyes," Nick begged. But I couldn't. That sounded like so much work, and I just didn't have the energy or strength. I was hanging on by a thread. "Ellie? Ellie! Don't give up on me now. Please, Ellie. I can't lose you." I released his hand, unable to hold on any longer.
The world began to fade into darkness as sirens in the distance seemed to be like a lullaby forcing me to sleep. A voice whispered, "Stay with me, Ellie."
I could practically feel my heart beating slower...and slower...and slower...
~ * ~
"She's crashing!" a male voice yelled, sounding panicked. "Where's that blood?! I need it STAT or this girl is going to die!" What? Who? What's going on?
"Uh, Dr. Ross..." another male voice said, almost cautiously.
"What?! What, Carter? Can't you see I'm busy?! I've got a patient bleeding out!" There was a moment of silence. "What is that?"
"A tiny shard of glass. This little thing is what is causing all the bleeding; it cut her vein. You can hardly see it, but the cut is there," the other doctor, Carter, informed.
"Alright, get her up to the O.R.!" Dr. Ross ordered. "I'll go talk to the family."
I felt myself fading out again.
Nick
I stared at the doors across the room hoping someone would come out and tell me Ellie was okay, and I could see her. But there was no one.
"Hey, Tricia," Crystal said into her phone, "It's me again...Why haven't you been answering your phone? Please call me soon." She hung up and sat down next to Kevin with a sigh. "Nick, did you call your parents?"
"No," I muttered, shaking my head. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Crystal look at Kevin, who nodded and stood up.
"I'll be right back," he said, taking out his phone and walking away. A doctor came from the doors across the room, holding a clipboard and looking at me. I got up from my chair and walked over to him.
"We found a tiny shard of glass in one of her cuts," he said. "I'm afraid it grazed her vein, and cut it, just a little. They're taking her up to O.R. to go into surgery. You can wait up there; it's on the third floor." He started to walk away, but I stopped him.
"Will she live?" I asked. "Can I see her?"
"It's too soon to tell whether or not she will make it. I really can't answer anything. You'll have to ask the people in O.R." He turned and walked away. I looked to Crystal, who signaled to me that it was okay to go ahead, that she would wait for Kevin and meet me upstairs soon. I took the elevator upstairs, thinking, How could I have been so careless? How could I let this happen?
