So I thought I'd give writing FF a shot. I like to write poetry a lot so this really isn't a whole lot different. I know this isn't much right now but I just wanted to see what people thought. So comments & suggestions would be much appreciated :) Thanks!!
“Melanie, this is serious. I really need to talk to you,” Elayna said as calmly as she could. All the color quickly drained from Melanie’s face as she took note of the seriousness in Elayna’s voice. Both took a deep breath, Elayna decided she better just come right out and say it.
“Today I got a phone call and I’m wondering what you are doing Friday?”
Melanie couldn’t muster any words, only a faint nod of the head to signal nothing.
“Well I have a question for you, do you want to accompany me to a meet & greet for the Jonas Brothers?”
For a minute they both sat in silence and then suddenly Melanie shoved Elayna off the bed and began throwing everything in sight.
“ELAYNA BETH KAYLEN I AM GOING TO KILL YOU. What was all the drama for??? You are SUCH a bully!! I thought you were going to tell me you were dying or something. OMG I hate you so much….but OMG wait…the Jonas Brothers? Holy crap I think I’m hyperventilating!!”
Elayna was doubled over on the floor with laughter. “So can I take that as a yes??” Elayna questioned.
“Really E? Like I have to answer?!?! OMG I’m going to meet Joe Jonas…OMG. I need to calm down. What am I going to wear? Say? Oh man too much stress! I can’t handle this!!”
“Mel! It’s three days away girl calm down!! We will decide tomorrow what to wear. Lets go get something to eat.”
*Next Day*
If you didn’t understand the circumstances you would swear by the sight in front of you that a tornado had ripped through the house. Elayna and Melanie had every article of clothing to two of them owned “layed” out in Elayna’s room. Good thing Elayna’s parents were gone…they would have flipped at the sight.
Melanie let out a deep sigh, “Nothing here is going to do. Joe will not love me in any of these outfits!!”
Elayna couldn’t help but giggle. “Mel, seriously? I don’t think you need to worry so much. If Joe is going to fall madly in love with you I would hope it would be with you not your clothes.”
“Oh E shut up. You have nothing to worry about because you & Kevin are practically soul mates, it’s disgusting. He’s going to fall madly in love and you two will run off and I will be stuck here in Louisville watching your celebrity romance from afar.” All Elayna could do was laugh at her best friend. Those words definitely brought a smile to her face. Sure her & Kevin had a lot in common but he was famous, she didn’t REALLY know him.
