What do you think of when you listen to A Little Bit Longer??

ok so like any jb fan i know that Nick wrote this ttly amazing song about his diabetes. so anyone who has diabetes obviously thinks of that when they listen to it. but do you guys think of totally and completely unrelated things like i do??

maybe whenever you hear a certain lyric or sumthin, i dunno. but please i want to know if you do cuz it's been bothering me for a while now!

whenever he says "But you don't know what you got till it's gone..." i think of a boy at my school that died last year. he was a grade ahead of me so i didn't know him very well, but now i always wish i had taken the time to get to know him.

so wat do you think of??

I think of several things

One is my aunt who died back in September. I miss her a lot, and wish I'd appreciated her a little bit more

Another is the kids who've died at my school. Every year since 3rd grade, I've had someone in my class die. In 3rd grade the kid had cancer, 4th it was a car accident, and 5th was an accident that's really intense and i don't really want to post it on here. I wish I'd gotten to know them all better, even though they were all in my classes.

Another is when my sister was in the hospital for a long time getting surgery and she almost died and stuff. I was only about 3 or 4, but I remember how hard it was for my family and stuff.

And finally, my dad. He's still here, don't worry, but he was in the army for 22 years. He was gone 16 months to Korea, 13 to a country that I can't spell, but it's around Korea, and 2 years in Afghanistan, which was his most recent tour. Korea and the other country happened when I was under 5 years old. Afghanistan started about a month and a half after Christmas in 3rd grade, and went until September of 5th grade. It was really hard when he was gone, because he was also gone for shorter trips in between those. And I was always worrying when he was in Afghanistan because of what you hear on the news and stuff. But everything was ok. He's back, and in perfect health. We were really lucky. Now, he flies Air Evac which is like Life Flight for hospitals and stuff, because he retired from the army. I still worry, but not as much, because I know that he's safer here.

That's what I think of. Its a beautiful song. i love it so much It's on my iPod, and i'm actually listening to it. :)

I think of life in of itself.

I think of the fact that when I hear something, when I see something, when I taste something, when I hold something, it never really means anything to me. I take so much for granted that could easily just be swept away from me. I think of the fact that what I hold so far away from my heart and what I so frequently forget to thank God for is what so many others wish they could experience. I think of the fact that when I pass someone on the street, in the hallway at school, even at the mall, that person could just as easily not be here tomorrow. I ask myself why am I so blessed, and yet why do I forget it so many times? I think of how I pity myself so much for the silliest things at times, and I think of how life is a winding and twirling wave - you hear so much around you, the seagulls, the yelling of people, the crash of the water, and yet all you can concentrate on is the wave, is staying afloat, when we should be observing the sights that may not be around tomorrow, that may not always be there, a gentle humming that soothes us but we never thank God for letting us hear.

The song is so deep for me, I cry just about every time I hear it. It makes me feel more humble, and makes me realize how quickly everything can change.

But then at the end, it makes me remember how great God is, and how he has blessed us with people like Nick who stay optimistic even in the face of great despair.

It's me think of my dad. He is not with us anymore. He's in eternity, and I will see him when I go to eternity.

It also makes me think of the people who died in our world or are suffering. They have got to wait till kingdom come for a cure and many just don't make it.

Not only does this song touch me in the way, but so does Eternity and Appericiate. Take a Breath sort of does too. I am privleged to be alive and I take it for granted. Maybe I should start praying more...

August 29: A life changing day for me coming (My first Jonas Brothers concert will happen)

When I listen to a little bit longer I don't really think of anything random. I basically think of Nick and what he must have been going through when he wrote this song and how he must suffer everyday. I also think of all the other people in the world who are affected by something tragic everyday. Anyone on the street who we walk by could be suffering, but noone really notices because we're always caught up in our pety problems. I think this song is really inspiring to everyone and I'm glad nick wrote such a strong song.
