How do you take that line of "Just Friends?"
Is the writer talking to the girl he's "just friends" with, or to someone else?
I've always imagined it was someone else, but I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks.

I've always thought he was talking to her, because he says "you."
I don't believe it's about anyone in particular. Possibly, he may have written the song when he was in that situation. I have no idea.
You know what? I always hear Niley fans saying "ohh it's about MILEY, when he met her." and I was like "I don't think so, guys." EDIT: I READ WHAT YOU SAID WRONG. XD sorry.

And I'd like to add that I love Just Friends because it totally applies to my brother and his girlfriend. I love everything about the song and stuff. It's all cool =]
So is he saying that he doesn't want to lead her on, as in having the wrong type of relationship, or leading her on to think he doesn't like her...?

I've always had some idea, like, someone else likes him and he's like, "Sorry, I can't do this, I like someone else." sort of thing. But then that's probably just me. ha.
I've always thought of it as saying "Hey, I really like you, but I don't wanna lead you onto the fact that I like you...because the truth is that I've grown fond of you~" (I said you too many times XD)
So I always thought of it was talking ot teh girl he is just friends with...in his head, Like...thinking it to himself.
So you think he just doesn't want her to know yet? Like, he's not ready to tell her that he likes her?
Maybe? haha. That makes sense. I think.
I always thought he meant he liked her, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to tell her beacause it could make things awkward. But that's just what I thought.
I always thought it was to her.. but I saw it as one of fhose YET lines.
Like, I don't wanna lead you on YET, but the truth is i've grown fond (which means we're gonna get married... eventually ;D)
