When I logged onto my AIM I got this message:
"I can't believe that you call yourself I Jonas Brothers fan!!! Your not a part of the fanclub, your not going to the "Burning Up" tour your always negative on the boards. I've been a fan since the begining ok and a True fan! You don't vote on TRL or anything so your not doing your part. You haven't even been a fan for a year! I'm part of the fanclub and I'm going to a least 5 shows this summer! And, I vote on TRL everyday! Ugh! you so-called FANS make me sick!"
I tried to respond but they like blocked me or something. All I have to say is this. I'm not part of the fanclub because I don't have the money and I think that it's kind-of stupid to have two different membership packages. I feel that everyone should get the same things. I'm not going to the "Burning Tour" because well they're not coming here. I don't have the money to cross state lines. I don't think that I'm negative on whatever boards that you think that I'm being negative on.(I think that you mean these boards though) I'm just stating my views on subjects like everyone else. I'm not saying sorry if you disagree with them. There's nothing called a "True Fan." Either your a fan or your not. Just because you've liked them longer doesn't make you any better. You don't have to go to a lot of shows and spend a lot of money on a band to be a fan. This "True Fan" stuff is crap! I don't vote on TRL because I hate MTV. It's just a show to me and it doesn't really mean anything.
Did anyone else get this message?

What does it matter if you haven't been a fan for that long. I can proudly say I've been a fan since the first CD, but I don't think any less of people who have just today become a fan. They should be happy JB is doing so well. And I'm not going to the burning up tour, one because they don't have a show near me, and two I don't have the money to drive that far to see it.

That person is calling themself a fan? Yeah right. Good for you, girl -- for standing your ground. I've NEVER been to a JB concert, nor do I have the time to vote every single day on TRL. I know I'm a fan, no matter what anybody says!
A fan is a fan.
There's no such thing as a "bad fan" or any of that crap. One fan can't say they are better than another.
Oh well. Someone just needed to fill their daily quota of ego bloat, and, apparently, you got the brunt of it. :[ But, kudos for not taking their shizz!

I happened to have gotten that message too, sadly.
Though I have voted, and been to concerts, and have a membership, this person still needs the urge to post untrue facts.
They're probably doing this just to make them feel better about themselves; they probably don't know their real names, just "Curly Haired One" and "The Tall One".

that's what i'm thinking. they're probably just trying to make themself feel like a "true fan" as they like to put it. if two people got the same message, then you know its not personal. so i think there's nothing to worry about. just forget about that meanie [;
Here is what I don't get.
Since when did people decide who is a true fan or not.
I mean even if your just a fan of one song. Or you can't list a jillion facts about them it doesn't mean you are not a fan. There isn't some secret level you need to be in to be called a true fan. Truth is I think everyone likes them for different ways whether the voices, the looks or the lyrics. Since when did not liking everything or devoting your life to them mean your not a fan? I love the Jonas brothers, I love their songs and I love there personalities from what I know. But I dont devote my life to them, I don't vote daily on TRL I am not a member of the fanclub. Truth is I don't watch TRL or MTV and for the fanclub I am saving up for a missions trip which to me is a higher priority then some fanclub. I can'tgo to theirconcerts because the closest one is five hours away and I can't drive for another year. I really dislike the fact that some fans think its right to judge whether or not someones a true fan or not. Even if your not a 'true fan' this is Jonas Brothers Fan not Jonas Brothers True Fan.
