Yesterday I had the opportunity to see Ms. Lovato at Six Flags America. And I got a lot more than I expected.
I made a "Demi Rocks" T-shirt and a tote bag the night before the show. I didn't realize the paint had to dry 24 hours....oh well, it was dry enough.
We rode rides for a while, and on one of the coasters you could see the stage very well. So while we were riding, we were able to catch a glimpse of Demi doing sound check! That got me even excited. If that was even possible.
Then we got our VIP section wristbands and got in the very long line. There were tons of girls already there. I was pretty mad, because I was sure there was no way we would get decent seats.
They finally let us in, and we went into the front section. We were in row 5 or 6, but everyone just kept moving forward. Someone caught a glimpse of her, so then we all ran up. I squeezed through to row 3 or 4. Then when her band came out, everyone stood on chairs. So I did too.
Then she came out. Wearing an amazing outfit- black pants, black boots, and a black Pat Benetar tour t-shirt. Very rocker chick. She also had a Demi necklace that was adorable!
So there we were, rocking out to Demi Lovato. She was amazing. When she was singing "Forget" she looked very sad. It seemed like she might start crying. But she pulled through with an amazing ending. The rest of the show was incredible.
I'm trying to remember the order....I wasn't able to get a set list haha. She started with "That's How You Know" but I’m not sure from there. Her last two songs were "Party" and "Get Back". I'm uploading the video to Get Back as I type. It's taking a long time...
Well, after the show, we met up with my parents who were just where the fence met the VIP section. While we were over there, they started chanting "meet and greet!" and the band gave them guitar picks and set lists. It was cool.
Then we were led backstage and the rest of the band was there. I got autographs from them. They were pretty awesome. So we talked with them for about 5 minutes. There were 5 other girls back there, 3 who run a Demi fan site. We got pictures with them. And then there were 2 that I have no idea how they got back there. They talked with one of the band guys on the side of the stage, not in the section we were in, but then he led them backstage. It was one of their birthdays, and the other one's is on Sunday.
Also, I got to get a drink from the fridge back there. I got a bottle of water from the backstage fridge!!! It was exciting.
Then it was time to meet Demi. We were brought over to a building, and then she came out. We all just sort stood there at first. Then we went up to her. I got a lot of stuff signed, and then pictures. She signed a camp rock poster, my tote bag, and a huge poster that we bought. I also gave her a letter and necklace I got for her. She said she loved it. The necklace was her favorite color, red. And on the envelope I wrote "This Is Me" lyrics, and she was like "I know those lyrics!" and I said, "I sure do hope so." She promised she would read the letter later. I got an autograph for my friend who is in Germany. Demi told me to say hi to my friend, and then told us she was in Germany for a layover the other week.
Then 2 of the other girls got pictures and stuff. Then we went back over and formed a little circle. We all talked about random stuff. Like, she told us to make sure we watch camp rock, and turn on every TV so wherever you are you can watch it. I told her I would do that. It was pretty funny. Then I told her we would see her next Friday, and how that six flags has lots of huge roller coasters. Then the fan site girls came in and they talked.
Soon we had to go, so I went up to Demi and told her goodbye and gave her a hug. She thanked me for the necklace and thanked us for coming. I told her bye and have fun in her shows.
And here is the link to the "Get back" video.

It was an amazing experience.
And I'll be seeing Demi again next week at Six Flags Great Adventure. I doubt we'll get to meet her, but in the letter I told her to wear the necklace.
I still can't believe it!

Edit!
I also got to see Demi at Great Adventure! I didn't meet her, but it was still awesome. Here's my story:
So we drove up to NJ, not going 90 mph or getting stuck in traffic.....and
we got here around 2:30.But when we got there, All the VIP seating things
were sold out!!! I was so mad! I wanted front row!! So then we ate some food
and got in line. Which was very long, I might add.
My mom decided to go to the other side just to see. Then she called me and
told me to go over there. I didn't want tons of girl following me, so I told
Nicole, "Aww, we have to go meet up with mom. Just give up our spot."
We went to the otehr side and there was like, NOBODY there. And some guy was
giving out meet and greets to random people. It was so unfair. But then
security let us in, and their timing was off so our side got led in first.
And the VIP section was only the middle of the floor, so we ran down and got
FRONT ROW right beside the VIP. We were on the right side. It was so cool!
But the stage was so high up and there were these wall things as tall as my
sister in front of us so it was hard to look up. But i stood on the little
foot thing of the VIP fence.
The security guys talked with us a lot. They were pretty awesome. We had a
lot of fun with them haha. They kept going backstage, like someone would
tell them to tell Demi something. It was funny.
Then the Clique Girlz came out!! They were awesome. And not many people know
about them, but I was singing along to everything. They kept looking at me.
And some guy was filming them from the stage, probably for their youtube,
and he kept filming us. We even started a wave, cause we started waving then
the girl Ariel started it all after she looked at us. We would've met them, but we would've had to give up our front row seats.
So they go off the stage, and its getting cloudy. And then cloudier. Then it
rains. Some guy named Phil Bensen (he'll appear more later in my story) came
on, and he sang some songs. Obviuosly...but yeah he was ok. He made up the
songs as he went, so that was wierd. Then the rain got harder, so by now we
are completely soaked. And the water bounced off of the fence in front of
us, so that was bad.
Before Demi came on it finally stopped. We started singing songs to pass the
time. We sang "Burnin Up" "This is Me" "Play My Music" and "We Rock." Then
the sound thing played better music, including "S.O.S." So we all screamed
and sang along. We would've been happy if they just played the Jonas
Brothers CD. Oh, and there was this girl beside us who KNOWS the Jonas
Brothers! She used to meet them all the time in the summer! She has all of
these pics on her bag. And she does this thing with Nick where they hug each
other really tight and its so cute! But she doesn't meet them much since
they are so big.
So finally the rain stopped and they cleaned off the stage. Then Demi's
band came out. Then Demi!!!! She was AMAZING!! And she noticed us. I know it. We
made eye contact. Same with her guitarist, Mike. He kept looking at us. We
know him, so yeah. Demi would've ran down and touched our hands, but it was
too wet. We could've touched her. UGH. Stupid rain.
So yeah, then the show was over. Very dissapointing. Now I have to wait till
August to see her again.
But wait! There's more! (that just seemed to fit this moment). So my sister
wanted to ride rides. So I went to where Demi was and we all lined up
outside to see if we could meet her. And they started letting people in.
Then the guy was like, "Sorry, we're all out of room." and he
made us leave.
But my mom told me I could go and buy Phil's CD, so I go over there, and
he's standing there taking pics and giving autogrpahs! So I bought his CD
and a poster, then called my mom to get the camera. My sister was done so
she came over. I got an autograph and a pic with him. But the picture is
terrible. My hair is a mess and my shirt was so wet and was like, falling
off. But its all good.
Then my sister rode a ride called El Toro and we waited at the exit. All of
a sudden security comes walking by with a huge group of people. I didn't
really notice, but then some girl yelled "Demi! Demi!" I still
didn't think anything of it. Then my mom goes, "That was her!" And i was like,
woah, wait a second! It was!! So I started to follow, but then I stopped. Then we were
like, OMG, my sister is going to see her! And Demi has to come back this way.
So my ister comes back like, "OMG, Demi was in front of me!" my sister
was pulling into the station and Demi was getting on. We tried to look at the
pictures, but theyu blocked the ones of Demi out haha. I can't beleive Demi
walked RIGHT BY US! With her band, Mike, Kevin, Drew, and the drummer guy.
Her dad was probably there too.
And that's where my adventure ends. It was a great day. I didn't even ride any rides.
AND I FOUND OUT MANDY WAS AT THAT SHOW!!
Yes, THE Mandy!! The JoBro's Mandy! I didn't even recognize her, she had curly hair and it was pretty dark. Why didn't i see her!!
