I agree but disagree.
Purity rings are what you believe in. If you don't believe in it, don't wear one. Simple as that. No body needs to judge by your beliefs and stuff. If you believe in no sex till marriage, well great for you! If you don't, still fine for you! Doesn't effect any of us...
I think they get so much publicity because one, JB are really great role models. So they're gonna get publicity, no matter what. The rings are not for the press though, at all.
Two, a lot of teens today are involved in sexual activities, and that's a 'problem' with 'increasing numbers' [it's on the news right now. the statistics, i mean. idk why. don't ask]. If people see these huge celebrities wearing these then they could be discouraged to have sex.
I agree because I think they do get a lot of publicity, and that causes paparazzi and stuff.
JB DOES NOT wear them for publicity. They wore them before they were famous.
I don't think people would even know that they were purity rings unless some magazine asked them about it.
Russell Brand...
ugh.
Well, I understand, it was humor. Heck, it was MTV. You can't ever predict what'll happen on MTV. I admit, it did make me and my mom feel uncomfortable, and I didn't find it funny at all. Especially some other things he said not involving purity rings, but did involve sex.
I'm not mad at him. He did what he was supposed to...host the show, make people laugh, etc. That's what his job was that night, and he did it.
Even if a lot of people didn't find it funny.
