| I Wonder How the Jonas Brothers Feel. (Sequel to How I Feel About The Jonas Brothers) |
|
|
There is so much to consider on this topic. I know they love us, that much is clear and extremely evident. Thats not what this thread is about. Its about what they think, everytime they walk past a magazine stand full of teen girl magazines, all with their faces on it. Its about what they feel, when mobbed at an ice cream shop.
I know its got to feel absoloutely amazing, wonderful, uplifting, rewarding. But do they ever miss the old days? Do they ever just stop and dwell on the drive and dedication that put them where they are today? Do they even have time to do that?
At times, I envy them beyond belief. They are living a dream most would die to have. And at times, I feel my heart breaking for them. I know its their life, its what they want. Or they wouldn't put as much passion into everything they do. Im not saying they should stop, its a great opportunity, an amazing life to live. A stressful life to live.
I just wonder what runs through those tired and thoroughly exhausted brains every day, you know? I wonder how they stay so strong. I know its through their wonderful family and God, but I couldn't do it.
And then I remember - they're only teenagers. Young Adults. Doing things no one has ever done before for me in the world of music.
Truly "Kids of the Future," in my opinion.
Sorry, I just needed to say something along those lines. Its been eating away at me for a while.

I know what you mean.
I think about this everyday.
I mean, do they miss the old days? Do they like the new ones better?
I'm pretty sure they get annoyed with fans or interviewers *cough*stupidradiokevininterviewer* cough* at SOME point, but when? Is it when they find some way to see them when they don't want to be seen?

Yea I know what you mean
I think that they are enjoying there fame, but I’m sure that there are times when they wish they could go back to the old day's and not get attacked at an ice cream shop.
I miss the old days were tickets were less then $20, and there was a meet and greet almost every concert, and one person could meet them easily *points to sig*, but that was back in 2005 and 2006.
I'm not going to lie I am very proud that they got this big it’s what they always wanted.

I'm so proud of them, I can't even begin to explain.
I just wonder how they feel, you know? I know that they feel ultra blessed, and so excited at the way their dream has blossomed and grown.
Its just growing so fast. Its hard to keep up, sometimes.

I'm actually new here and this is my first post, but I'm so glad that I found this place. Yes, sometimes I do miss the old days, not really because they've changed so much, but because their fan base has changed. I think it's been discussed here before, but I'm referring to the "Disney Fans", those whose only impression of the Jonas Brothers is that which they see on TV. I feel that I'm one of those more "mature" fans who is a fan of them for a lot more than just what they look like. To me, they're one of the more authentic popular artists out there right now. Their music just has a this soul and life to it that you don't see too often in a music world where every other song on the charts is about "the club this" and "the club that", and how "i met so and so in the club so let's dance with the DJ". They're very unique at a time when music on the radio is really starting to all sound the same. Maybe that's why their popularity has soared so much? Maybe there are a lot of other music fans who are looking for the same thing and finally found it in them? Anyone else agree? I just hope that with their increasing popularity that they stick to the music that made them so popular in the first place. Music that's more than just a catchy beat or chorus, like so many other songs out there today. |

i think about this a lot. (haha here we go...be afraid and prepare for big paragraphs!!)
i bet it's mind-blowing for jb. it's mind-blowing for me and i've never even met them. i'm sure at times that the fans and the typical being-chased-down-the-street senarios are fun and so cool. i mean, nothing gets cooler than rockstar. and with the upcoming movie and tv show, i'm sure they are looking forward to watching their fanbase explode and finally be t-h-e hottest ticket around.
but i think there is a part of them that wishes they could fill cups of coffee at starbucks or teach private guitar lessons to little kids from their old schools. still make music, still perform, but be...not nessicarily "normal"...but "average". not worshipped or obsessed over. just accepted.
i've seen talented indie performers that still have great fans and get to do exactly what they love but aren't always recognized in public and are ultra-rarely made fun of on gossip sites and appear in a few magazine articles. of course, the indie-ish fanbases are small, but the fanbase is still there. and i think those fanbases are a bit more "true" than celebrities' fans. because the fans like them exactly the way they are and appreciate the music, not because "omg they are soooo cute" and are on merchadise in wal-marts everywhere.
so many fans miss that it was the music that got them where they are. plus loads of work and stress. i'm sure the whole transition from brother band to superstars is wild and exciting and dreamlike and nightmarelike.
and with disney, i'm sure it's a blessing and a curse. we know the whole drill w/ them. it's a great company, disney, but there will come a time when jb is old news with disney. that's just how it is. when the cult-like things are over (ex: hannah montana, high school musical...you know what i mean...remember lizzie maguire?). and i think the boys are definately smart enough to recognize that one day the fame they've got now will die down. and that's why they're "livin' the dream" t-o-d-a-y.
but i know in a few years once some of that is gone, jb will move to other things. maybe bigger things. i'm sure they tell themselves not to look too far into the future because that can lead to heartbreak. if they continue on the same good path (as people) i'm sure they will perform and fill arenas their entire lives. i saw a sold-out bruce springsteen concert last year...he was world-famous at 20 and is hitting 60 soon, and he still rocks!
i honestly believe that even with the flashing cameras and the sold-out arenas and the hundreds of thousands of dollars they bring in, i think they really still are those music dorks from new jersey. there's this boys-next-door aura to them, that they will never quite get used to someone wanting to take their picture or get an autograph. in reality it's second nature, but deep deep down i think it's like, "whoa!!"
kevin, joe, and nick will always be my boys. they changed me, on how i look at celebrities and how i treat other people and live my life. when someone does that to you, you never forget them. and we changed them as people, and i know they'll never forget us.

I was thinking about this today, actually. I started thinking a lot about it after I saw this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5-HNiWOBHc
There is no doubt about it-- they are three very lucky guys. They are really talented and to make it in the entertainment industry in Hollywood is a big, big deal. Hollywood is so competitive. There are so many promising actors, actresses, musicians... it's not easy to get into a business like that. But the Jonas Brothers, obviously, have something very special about them and have been blessed to be part of that. Their job is to do what they have a passion for, what they love. That's something they should be really proud of and, of course, something that we should all be proud of for them as well.
In addition to that, I'm sure the job gets pretty tough. Of course, they get tired and there are probably days where they want to just live a " normal " lifestyle. What's normal about being surrounded by screaming fans everywhere you go? What's normal about getting up on stage every single night and performing? There's nothing normal about that. That's extraordinary and mind-boggling! I would love to have a job where I can create awesome music out of scratch and be paid for it! I would love to have a job where I can inspire others through music and make an impression on millions of people. That's an amazing job.
Although I have absolutely no doubts that they are extremely thankful for all of the fans that support them, I'm sure they want those days where they can walk around without a bodyguard having to be with them to protect them, without thousands of screaming girls all around them. I'm sure there are days where all they want to do is stay in bed and do normal things as brothers and as individuals.
I think, when it all boils down to it... if you really love what you do, if you really have a passion for it... no matter how crazy things may get, you would still never trade it for the world. This is what they love to do. I think the Jonas Brothers have made that very clear to us. Don't you think? :)

I think about this kinda thing alot. I know for a fact that the boys are very very thankful for us, the fans...but sometimes i think together as a group we overdo it. For example, the mobbing at Rita's. They wanted to get some icecream from a hometown spot and we completely ruined a moment for them. (i'm sorry if anyone from this post was there)
Also, today was the wake for Stephanie Gotz. The Boys were going to go....but i'm pretty sure they didn't because a bunch of fans were waiting around for them to show up. That's so sad to me :( Sometimes i wish we could tone down our OJD. Like it's fine when we obsess over our 'Jonas Walls' and such...but idk. i can't process my thoughts right now haha.

Fame is a two edged sword.
I remember the days when the boys where SO excited to meet fans. And they where stoked to have more people in the audience than they did on the stage.
The worked REALLY hard & deserve what they have.
The boys put there hearts & souls into make people happy every single day. But sometimes I think some of the fans are far from respectful.
The other day they went to get ice cream in New Jersey and got mobbed by about 500 kids. Same thing at Oprah.
Everytime the guys take a picture with a girl, whether it be a suspected girlfriend or a fan, people right horrible & nasty things about whoever they are stood with. some of these girls are the boys bestfriends. Do they really think they want people bashing there friends? Its not fair at all.
Same with Frankie. I dont know whether anyone else has noticed, but I've seen Frankie recently on like paparazzi film & pictures, and the kid looks absolutly terrified. Give him a break, he's 7 years old. he's not even in the band yet people are up in his face.
And imagine in the future when they all have kids of there own? It'll be 10 times worse.
Deep down, they will always be just 3 Jersey boys, who worked hard for everything they have.
But people should give them more respect. |

I know they are enjoying the ride, and thats really all that matters, I guess.
But about the girls they take pictures with, their best friends, its probably so hard. Its straining on any friendship, I bet. But God watches out for those who believe in him, and the Jonas Brothers are riding an insane wave that has carried them so far, and I think God is just trying to help them get the most out of it they can, you know?
I watch Access Hollywood clips, and all these screaming girls, and I think, "Wow. Their dream has come true."
But there is so much that they will still do, I'm sure. So much that will blow my mind. They have my heart. They don't know it, but they do. I'm going to support them. I want them to focus on the moment, because thats all any of us are ever guarenteed, I suppose.
