So today, I, like many of you i'm sure, got the Camp Rock soundtrack....and I have to say... i'm not to impressed. The ONLY songs I like are Gotta Find You, Play My Music, We Rock, Who Will I Be, This Is Me, and Our Time Is Here. I know thats like...half the album but still, I was expecting to like it all!
I know im going to like this movie, because the three most amazing guys in the world will be in it. But I think Disney is buliding it up so much that if its not good people will diss Disney, Demi, the whole cast,...and the Jonas Brothers. I read a thread that someone posted saying she had seen Camp Rock and that it was "predictable".... any thoughts?
Okay so here's my take:
I am not expecting this to be the holy grail of musicals, right up there w/the sound of music (aka best movie EVER) but i am expecting it to be a fun movie to watch on a friday (and satuday and sunday) night. Someone at my school saw it early and she said it was bad, but she's a pretty bitter ex-jo bro fan (wierd i know) I'm just gonna suppourt my boys and enjoy thier hard work, and not worry about the "cinematic quality" of the movie. Also, aren't all musicals and movies now a little "predictable"? Boy meets girl, boy and girl can't be together, boy and girl find a way to be together and live happily ever after....
I know! I'm kinda getting worried...I mean i've been so ecited and everything like i can't wait and then everyone has seen the premiere or on demand or whatever and saying its predictable...and what not...and....you know...what if it isn't as good as I thought? Well...i'm sure i'll love it...lol i'm a disney cheesy person but...idk.
I knoww what yew meann. i didn't likee the wholee soundtrackk eitherr, just a few songs.
&i thinkk theree has been wayy too much hypee that peoplee are expectingg THE BEST MOVIE EVERR!

MOst movies are like that now - as you said. And it's like the industry can't seem to cook up an original idea. It's a little bit downing, but at least I can look forward to seeing my favourite celebrities in one movie
I agree, its downing seeing bad reviews; but I think for major jonas brothers and demi lovato fans the movie will be good, regardless of plot. Plus its not like its going to change anybodys mind about watching it... It looks like it's going to be funny though, with jokes from kevin occasionaly (ex. his birdhouse) All we can do is wait and see!
