In the newest issue of US Weekly (with Lauren from The Hills on the cover) there is an article titled 'Who Inspired the Idols?' and they claim that David Archuleta from American Idol is "the next Joe of the Jonas Brothers," and that even though Joe is "currently sporting a longer do" that he and David could have "once passed for twins."
As much as I adore David, I DON'T THINK SO!

hahaha! i don't know why, but that made me crack up [: i really don't get it. they're like the least reasonable to compare. david's really quiet and shy, then there's joe [; haha. and i really don't see how they look alike. [x
In the article they have two huge closeup pictures, one of David and one of Joe... but it's like... an old one of Joe when he had the Joehawk.
If my scanner was working I'd scan it for you... but honestly, they look/sound nothing alike.

ah! that's so cool though.. how they were compared in a way =] but david and joe don't look alike at all ahha.
