very emo song

you know that A Little Bit Longer is very meaningful to Nick...

sometimes he even cried...and some people thought that's for the show...

I think it's not...because,

the first time, he looked kinda scared...

then, he kinda cried on a concert...

then, remember the jumped off the stage and went through the audience?

i think he just need let go his feelings, you know...instead of crying that night...I'm surprise he's alive after all that...

then, the burning up tour...It's pretty emotional for him...I think of all the venues he'd played A Litttle Longer...the latest was the most touching for me...

what did you guys think?

wow ive never known anybody to say he was faking it and he jumped off the stage and went through the audience?! when did that happen more details please!

anywayz i think he needs like a therapy session or someone to talk to. if you think about it he got diagnosed 3 years ago and its still hard on the family like he was diagnosed yesterday. i also think he needs a good crying session. i know hes a guy and everyguy thinks that you shouldnt cry but sometimes you need to let it out you know? i want to give him a big hug. not because its him and its every girls dream, but just a hug. to tell him that everything is going to be ok. it must be scary to play a song like that infront of so many people. his song tells a story of a chapter of his life that most people wont be able to understand completely.

Have you ever had someone close to you, or you yourself been diagnosed with diabetes or any major illness? It's not as easy to get over it as people think. It takes time to let it set in and some people deal with things at different rates. My mom was diagnosed as diabetic almost seven years ago and there are some days when it's hard to realize that. It takes time for everyone to get used to, you live your life one way for so many years and then it chances in the blink of an eye.

Nick's may not be as easy to move on with, he is in the public eye and every time he turns around someone is reminding him he is diabetic, I'm sure that has to be a tough situation on him and his family. I'm sure he and his family have been dealing with this in ways that are best for them, or that they feel best for them. Writing that song for Nick, may have been better then talking to any doctor about his problems. Sitting down and writing what he felt, may be the way he likes to deal with what is going on in his life.

I was diagnosed with diabeates when I was 5 years old. I am 12 now. So that means i've head it for seven years. trust me, it's not easy to get over and i know what Nick is going through. He is always doing the stuff he loves but the someone always reminds him he is diabetic i'm sure it's even tougher to be a superstar with diabetes too. Just think about it how tough it must be and his level is a little too low or too high and he still has to go perform a show. Writing A Little Bit Longer was proboly the best way to let his thoughts out. Without everyone getting all over him and the paparazzi getting all crazy over it. Nick is my hero and he always will be.

well, i wrote this in another thread, but it still kinda applies......

exactly!!! i have asthma, and all though it's defiitely not like diabetes, i go through things like that all the time...some days i'm perfetly fine, the next day i'll break down crying...you just have different highs and lows. it's a huge part of my life and it's not going to go away. just like with diabetes and like Nick said... you have self-pity days where you just ask yourself and God "Why me?" but like Nick, you have to think positively and ask "Why not me? What can i do to help other kids who also go through this?" it just depends on what's going on in your life at that time and how good or bad your issue is at the moment. it's no fun at all and is so hard to deal with something like that, and accepting the fact that you have something that could take your life away at any given moment is even harder. i've had to go to the hospital for my asthma in the past few months, and i was diagnosed when i was a baby, i've had years to get this "Under Control" but in the long run, none of it mattered, i still had an asthma attack playing a game as simple as Volleyball, where hardly any physical effort is needed, usually it's running that would get me worked up, but you just never know what you have until it's taken away from you.

since i was diagnosed as a baby, i didn't really realize how serious it was until recently....and i'm now 14...it's such a scary thought knowing that at any time, b/c of one wrong move, i could be gone...just b/c i have asthma...even though it may not seem so serious....it really is, and lots of kids have it!!! it's different from diabetes, but same in the fact that there is no cure and that it can kill people if not taken care of. Nick is not only a hero for people with diabetes, but with other diseases too, and i think it's great that his song can relate to anybody, even if you are just simply having a bad day. there is seriously not enough words for how much he means to me and how much i feel like i owe him
