Nick's voice...cracking...a lot.

I know there's already a thread on this, but it's dead.

ao yeah...anyone watch Hold On from the Mexico concert?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ASRCaYn0Dw

@ 5:49 - His voice cracks really bad. I'm not joking there. Did anyone else notice that?

Every time I hear his voice crack I automatically think about how frustrating it must be. I mean, someone said that some people can lose their voices completely when their voices change. That kinda happened to me. Back in 2005-2006, I could sing. Not AWESOMESAUCELY, but it was a lot better than I can now. I ...fail now. XD

I mean, if he loses his singing voice completely, that's like losing something you love. I'm not going to say he definitely IS losing his singing voice, because we don't know how things are gonna turn out. I hope I don't come off as weird but, I kinda feel for him. I mean, if I went blind, I couldn't draw for the rest of my life.

So, does anyone else feel for him like me? or is it just me being weird? lol

post whatcha think about this whole ordeal.

Re: Nick's voice...cracking...a lot.

although nick does know how to sing professionally, singing daily would definately put a strain on your voice. and his voice is still changing and adjusting...it won't fully mature until he's about 16.

i worry too about him hurting himself...he'll never lose that talent but he could injure his vocal cords with the amount of performing he does, especially since the venues are so loud, he would feel the need to sing louder, instead of when he was on broadway and the theatre was silent and he could hear himself being picked up by the mics. it's a natural thing. when my voice cracks from a lot of rehearsing for musicals and i get frustrated so i do know how he feels (and i understand your blind thing...i'd die if i couldn't draw or write! ^-^)

but heck i saw paul mccartney a few years ago and he pretty much sounds the same as he did when he was 20, and same with bruce springsteen. and they're 60 years old now! and they've done 1,000s of shows.

i'm sure nick is aware of the risks of singing excessively and tries to keep himself safe. the last thing he'd want is to hurt himself. goes to show how much those boys go through to bring us their music!!

Re: Nick's voice...cracking...a lot.

yeah, its a little scary. i mean, i feel bad for doubting him, because he's in a family of musicians and they're probably watching his back, but you can't help but worry.

screwing up his voice permanently would be pretty very devastating, even moreso for him than us, im sure.

Re: Nick's voice...cracking...a lot.

Ugh.

I'd die if his voice was messed up permanently.

And now wtih all these tours,he's never gonna get rest.

My question is,how are they going to do these shows? He can't lipsync, but singing would just be terrible. I don't think anyone would wanna go through listening to that. It hurts me to listen.

And it probably hurts him to sing.

its not his fault. if you're born with a voice than you have it. ahaha

all Nick needs is a singing coach, so he'll learn not to strain it. or over work it

Re: Nick's voice...cracking...a lot.

It might be the continuation of puberty but I have never heard it crack when he is talking. I think Joe's voice at 16 is different than the voice he has now so the same thing might be going on with Nick. He probably needs a vocal coach who can help him through the process. OR he might just be over working his voice again with the nonstop touring.

Re: Nick's voice...cracking...a lot.

i so agree. when i heard his voice on Dancing With the Stars, I started worrying. I honestly wouldn't know what it's like to lose a singing voice (since I'm not really sure if I can sing well or not), but if I lost my writing skills, it'd be like a part of me died. I think that's what it'd be like for nick if he loses his singing voice. but what i think our boy needs is a LOOOOONG rest, a whiteboard (so he doesn't have to talk), cough drops, cold drinks, and hugs (which i am more than willing to give him). but he doesn't have time for that kind of rest. he'll be on tour nonstop for MONTHS!!! they're going straight into the Burnin' Up tour right now. what if.. by the time he gets the rest he needs, it's too late. i'm on the brink of tears right now, just to let you know. i'm just scared for him. he's only 15! he's still growing. I'm just so proud of him. he's such a trooper! I love Nick Jonas!
