a couple of questions from sunday night

okay. so last night i was talking to my friend who didnt go to the concert in milwaukee but she knows someone(who is an adult that took her nese(sp) to the show(u will see why i said that).

so my first question is, towards the end of the show, did nick look a little tired/worn out some? cause this lady said he did. i can understand if he was. cause of his diabetes and his blood level being low and all and also for being on tour for months.

then my next question. after when nick did his speech, he teared up, was he just doing it for the show? this lady that my friend knows, said he did do it for the show. i dont think he did. cause i remember before this concert on sunday, he was talking about the song he wrote about his diabetes and that it was very personnal to him. also, correct me if im wrong, but way before this tour and before going to europe, did he cry whenever he sang this song(a little bit longer)?

so, that just been bothering me since last night and i wanted to clear this up. if there is anything that you dont get, please let me know:-)

i was at the Summerfest show, too.

i think that it would make sense that he was tired.  i mean they just had done three shows in three days with limited amounts of sleep and probably jet lag.  If i were him i know i'd be looking a little tired and warn out.  Same goes for Kevin and Joe.  i'm really glad they had today off.  They deserve every break they can get.

Sunday night i was thinking about this too.  i saw the YouTube video from the Toronto concert and at the end he stopped singing because he was choking up...but it looked real there.  At Summerfest he looked like he was doing it for the effect.  i mean, a person can only sing a song so many times and still feel that strong of an emotion.  Soon it becomes "another song on the set list" no matter how meaningful it is.  i don't mean to sound mean, but think about how many times he's had to sing it.  Everything becomes ruiteen[[sp?]] after a while.

true!! yea i can totally see how like if there's a song that's pretty personal(like this song is to nick and they cry) and they sing it after so many times they wouldnt cry as much as the first how many times they sing it. there are things that you do but after a while it gets old, even if its personal. u know?

i felt the same way about Eternity, too.  As much as i want to hear a recorded version, i don't.  Haha.  If that makes any sense.  i guess they wouldn't have to preform it at concerts, but if they did, it just wouldn't be the same.  It would become "just another song" and i almost feel that that song has a stronger meaning than "A Little Bit Longer" because it relates to all three of them equaily.  i think there's just some songs that are better left un-sang.  i hope that song never loses its meaning to them.  : /

keep in mind though that people whom have certain health conditions can sometimes be stronger at soome points, and weaker at others. so if say they were in europe and during the song he didnt break down, maybe at that point he was dealing with the issue a lot better. people who have health conditions go through ups and downs and some never really get adjusted to the fact that they have to live with it. keep in mind, he is only 15 and he basically has to realise that he could die very young. coming to terms with something like that is extremely hard.

exactly!!! i have asthma, and all though it's defiitely not like diabetes, i go through things like that all the time...some days i'm perfetly fine, the next day i'll break down crying...you just have different highs and lows. it's a huge part of my life and it's not going to go away. just like with diabetes and like Nick said... you have self-pity days where you just ask yourself and God "Why me?" but like Nick, you have to think positively and ask "Why not me? What can i do to help other kids who also go through this?" it just depends on what's going on in your life at that time and how good or bad your issue is at the moment. it's no fun at all and is so hard to deal with something like that, and accepting the fact that you have something that could take your life away at any given moment is even harder. i've had to go to the hospital for my asthma in the past few months, and i was diagnosed when i was a baby, i've had years to get this "Under Control" but in the long run, none of it mattered, i still had an asthma attack playing a game as simple as Volleyball, where hardly any physical effort is needed, usually it's running that would get me worked up, but you just never know what you have until it's taken away from you. and you should never say any of Nick's emotions, or any other person dealing with something as serious as that, are fake...because you never know how that could affect them. none of us know what he possibly could have gone through earlier that day...so what if he wasn't as emotional as usual...maybe it was just one of those days where his blood sugar was more under control, so he wasn't bumming as much as usual, but i don't think he would ever fake an emotion like that. he's an amazing person and he's always been true to his fans.

and if i offended anyone, i'm truely sorry...i was just giving my insight on what it's like to have a disease that is life threatening...different from diabetes, but same in the fact that there is no cure and that it can kill people if not taken care of. Nick is not only a hero for people with diabetes, but with other diseases too, and i think it's great that his song can relate to anybody, even if you are just simply having a bad day.

All my love to Nick Jonas and fellow jobro fans,
Sarah

Re: a couple of questions from sunday night
i was at summerfest too and i actually felt the exact opposite. nick was very upbeat and anything but tired. the day before i went to the concert in detroit and nick was much less energetic. nick was so happy at summerfest and did amazing. i also think that nick was reallly crying and it was not just for the show. the energy of the audience during that song was unbelievable and the nothing could top the support that was shown for him that night. summerfest was the biggest venue they had played at and i think nick was just overwhelmed by the amount of support shown. and i know he doesnt cry every time he does it but sometimes things happens that inspires a person and makes them emotional. nick did absolutely amazing at summerfest.
