My Grandpa is diabetic and he gave me a copy of the magazine. It took me forever just to read it, because I would start to get a little emotional and had to put it down for a couple minutes. But it was a really great article.
Yeah, my pappy's a diabetic too. I saw the magazine and was like, 'have you already read this?' and he's like, 'yeah, why?' so I told him I love Nick and I wanted to read it and he's like, 'yeah, go ahead, you can have it.' I was really excited! I put all the pics up on my wall. I loved the one full-sized pic with the lyrics to 'ALBL' next to it. I definately put that one up :-) The article was really well done though.
that article was amazing! i cried, mostly when i read the speech nick does at the end of the song, where he dedicates the song to all the people with the broken hearts or lost dreams.
i have been fortunate enough to never have diabetes in my family, but i did have to struggle with a terrifying illness in my family. but nick's song is so relatable in that since, even though i've never had diabetes. he is such an inspiration to keep on living and doing what you love, and to not let anything stop you. good for him, please don't stop.
