I sooo totally get this. I was one of those fans from like...pre-JoBro's...When it was just Nick. Well, I didn't really live anywhere near them, and I couldn't like ever go to concerts or anything (Just wasn't possible.) But it really gets irritating sometimes, I mean like COME ON! We've been here how long? And then we have all these random people who like, compared to us, found out about them five minutes ago, and get to meet them. I know it's not neccesarily their fault, but it just really sucks. I mean, I had a friend (Who's only known about JB for like a year) complain that she had never met the Jonas Brothers and never would, and I like turned around on her and ranted at her for almost an hour telling her how I'd been a fan since little Nick was singing Joy to the World, and Appreciate!
Sorry, had to get that off of my chest....But I agree with you.

Wow, I haven't been on here in forever! Well, I read through most of the commments, and I totally see where all of you are coming from, but we never said that new fans can't be true fans, at least that's not what I meant. I actually love the thread, it's an amazing place to be!
The boys have come so far, and I'm so proud of them and everything they've done...they truely deserve it all, everything they have! But, there's so many people that haven't met them, and I know Nick, Joe, and Kevin try as hard as they can to meet people...but does anyone else feel like they're not doing nearly as many meet n' greets as they used to? I mean...they used to stay after every show and meet every single fan...now its just before they show, and hardly any people it seems like...and as soon as a concert's over they rush to their bus to avoid getting chased by the fans.
I hate they, it's like...what about the rest of us? what about the people whose parent's can't pay through the nose to have their kids meet them? I really hope this fanfamilyexperience.com thing helps to change that, but it's not working for me and it's kinda making me very upset.
Oh well I just get kinda mad sometimes with all these little kids running around, crying, bursting into hysterics, and braging about how they got to meet them, when there is so many older fans, from 2006 especially, that haven't got to meet them yet...or that haven't even been to a concert...even though I've been to 2...i feel lucky for that...i had the chance to go to another, but I had no idea that they we're in Michigan, I didn't find out till about 3 hourse before the concert...I was so mad at myself! Okay, I think I've done enought ranting for one night.

I understand where you are coming from. I've only been a fan since 2007, but even thats longer than some of these people. And I am a true fan, and I'm still kicking myself for not turning away from my Hilary Duff obsession when I was little and looking into other stuff cuz then maybe I would have been able to find out about them. I know I would have loved them. But even as a "newer"-ish fan, I do get jealous when all these little kids, who would give a rats a*s about them if they weren't on Disney Channel, get to have all these front row tickets and meet them and crap. Except for Erma, she's liked them since like 2006 and she was like 2. (If you don't know who I'm talking about, go to YouTube and look up "Erma goes to a Jonas Brothers concert" or something like that). I wholy consider myslef a true fan, and sometimes, when i see the way some of these girls act and how long they've liked them, I even consider myslef an "older" fan. Some 2007 fans can understnad how you feel, and trust me, I do.

You're right, they don't do as many meet and greetes. But then again, that's not their fault. if they stayed after every show to meet every fan, people would be there for days. I've been to two concerts (I know I know, you prolly all hate me, but one of those was a last minute thing, and the other one, I saved up every penny I got to pay for my own tickets), and there were like 20,000 people at each of them. That's a LOT of people. Kevin, Nick, and Joe don't have that kind of energy or that kind of time. It wouldn't be fair to the boys to make them meet 20 grand fans after every show, would it?

Well, I've not been a fan for very long at all. Probably, I'd say, this year. I'll tell my story...
I live in the UK and I don't even know when I first heard of JB. I know that I knew they covered Year 3000 and I always kinda disliked Busted and so my brain immediately discounted them. Then I heard SOS and to my dismay, I liked it. I didn't want to like them but then when I heard Burnin Up and liked that too, I came to terms with it! lol. And then when I heard Lovebug, I was obsessed with it. I was officially a fan. The beginning of this year, I found out they were coming to the UK in June to do a concert, and found myself wanting to go... so I bought some tickets. I felt a lil bad that it might have meant that 2 big fans couldn't go. Anyway I decided then that I probably should make the effort to listen to their albums before the concert. So I bought Jonas Brothers and ALBL. Then that was it, I was a fully fledged fanatic-type-fan.
That's pretty much my story. That was back in Feb. So, I guess I'm a true fan, when I started liking them I didn't find any of them very attractive (I must state the case is very different now) but it was enitrely the music that won me over.
Anyway: Enough about me. I do agree with what pretty much everyone has said here. I've not really done anything to help their career, me being a fan hasn't helped them, i'm one of millions. I'm not overly desperate to meet them either, although it would be nice. If I had the opportunity, and someone was standing next to me who had been a fan for three years and I know wouldn't scream in their faces, I would happily pass the opportunity to them. I don't neccessarily deserve it.
