Somewhat concerened about ticket prices

Is anyone else somewhat concerned about the rise of JB ticket prices? It seems like they get higher each time, but I hope there's going to be a limit.  For the LMITE tour, it seemed like the max. was around $55.  Then for the Burning Up Tour, it was about $60.  I just checked Ticektmaster and it seems like they have gone up to $75.  Is Hollywood trying to make more money or do you think the cost of productuion is that much? Just  a thought. . .

Re: Somewhat concerened about ticket prices

i'm sure the rising price is mainly due to production costs. you have to think about all the things that are being payed for.  back when they were playing clubs and fairs, they didn't have a stage that traveled with them and was assembled at every venue...now they do. and that takes money.  there's all the lights, screens, cables, soundboards, and equipment which are definitely not cheap. there's all the buses for the cast and crew and eighteen wheelers that carry equipment...those take alllooooot of gas, and gas is ridiculously expensive right now. there's the cost of catering at the venue before the show each night for everyone who works on the tour. there's the cost of a hotel every night for everyone. also, every single person on that tour gets what's called a per-diem every day.  it's basically a daily payment to cover "living expenses" like breakfast and lunch. every person on that tour is also getting payed...and a portion of ticket prices goes to paying everyone...from lighting techs to the head of merch to local security that is hired for the venue to the bus drivers to management...and even the boys. and lastly, a portion of the price of every ticket has to go to each venue that they play at...because there are alot of costs there...

so there is a whole lot of stuff to pay for on a tour...probably more than most people realize.  and since the boys currently have 11 buses on the WYLMITE tour and a pretty big stage, rising ticket prices probably just mean that the Burning Up tour will just be bigger and better!

Re: Somewhat concerened about ticket prices

Are all tickets that much for their new tour? I was hoping it wouldn't be too expensive. Even if they are, I hope I can still go! I'll at least pay for my ticket, though.

Re: Somewhat concerened about ticket prices

Sounds to me like glitz and glamour are starting to take over.

Pretty pathetic that they are raising ticket prices for lights and bigger stages.

I don't know many fans who go to the shows just to see how cool the set is. We go to see the guys...

Did they forget 90% of their fan base isn't even old enough to have a job? There's not that many Jonas fans that are 16+.. well there are a lot, but majority of the fan base is in the 12-15 bracket.

I wanted to go to a lot of shows this summer, and now I'll probably only be able to go to one because I can't shell out several payments of $75 all at once on Saturday the 29th.

Re: Somewhat concerened about ticket prices

Yah I'm really disappointed because I wanted to go to about 3 different shows this summer, but now I'll probably only get to go to one since I have to pay for a lot of things this week (car insurance, enrollment fee to my college, gas, aaaand my JB ticket).  It sucks.

I wish they'd just go back to just a plain stage.  No one cares about what's behind them.  We just want to see their pretty faces and hear their pretty music <3

Re: Somewhat concerened about ticket prices

the tickets for my show are $80. which means they are going to tack on those extra fees they always like to hit you with, plus im buying two tickets at once.. so im going to be shelling out like $200 not to mention i have to join the fanclub too. the lowest price is like $28 but those are for lawn seats, and i wont be caught dead on the lawn at a JB concert.
