Part One:
Sunday, February 1st
“Man Merissa, you don’t look so hot”
Merissa evil eyed her best guyfriend. “Oh thanks Nick”
He rolled his eyes. “You know I didn’t mean it like that. You’re beautiful, ok?”
Merissa scoffed. “Uh huh, sure. And I might believe you if you weren’t my best friend”
“Anyway”
She groaned. “Yes Nicholas? Need something?” She waited. “Maybe a nice warm hot chocolate or some assistance, oh great one?” She bowed down at his feet with a smirk plastered on her face.
“Get up” He pulled her up by her arm.
“Oh well sorry Nicholas Jerry Jonas of the Jonas Brothers” She stuck her tongue out. “Wouldn’t want to disobey your only request to-”
“Stop that!” He laughed.
She shut up.
“As I was saying” His face grew serious again. “Are you feeling alright?”
Merissa shrugged. “I guess it all depends on how you would define alright”
“Well you seem to wince everytime the sunlight shines on you” He hugged her to his chest. “I wouldn’t want my gorgeous best friend to be in any pain, now would I?”
She pushed him off of her. “I'm fine”
“Whatever, I was just making sure”
She sighed. “Whatever”
Monday, February 2nd
“Hey Rissa! How’s my home girl!?”
Merissa spun around to see who was talking to her. She silently moaned to herself when she saw her friend DJ approaching her. “What Danny?”
“Oh ouch” He smirked. “Got me there, now didn’t ya?”
She rolled her eyes. “Whatever Deej”
“So how’s my boy Nick doin’? He’s on that tour thingy, right?” DJ put his arm around Merissa’s shoulder and began walking with her down the hallway.
“He’s on a break for now and is chillin’ at my place in the guest bedroom. His 3D movie is out in late Feb, so he’s staying here to go to the premiere with me”
“So he’s around?”
Merissa nodded. “My house. Where else?”
DJ chuckled. “Are you a dirty birdy, Merissa?”
She pushed him off of her and punched his shoulder. DJ winced slightly. “He’s my best friend, Danny! It’s like you and me. We chill together all the time and no one ever thinks we’re more than friends. Why is it that me and Nick are always gossiped about?”
“Because I have a girlfriend, so they know I wouldn’t cheat on her with you” He made a face. “And you and Nick...it just makes sense. Someday soon you’ll see. I have a feeling that you’ll be brought together real soon”
Merissa rolled her eyes. “Whatever Dannyboy. You’re not a mind reader anyway, so I'm probably just going to ignore that”
“Whatever” He waved and began walking down the empty school hallway adjacent to the one Merissa was on. He suddenly stopped though. “Hey Merissa?”
She stopped and glanced back at DJ. “Huh?”
“You’re feeling ok, right?”
She pursed her lips. “Uh...yeah. Why wouldn’t I be?”
DJ shrugged. “Dunno. Guess you just seem a bit different lately”
Merissa had no idea what that meant, so she just let it go right over her head.
Hah, so yes this Merissa in this fiction is me. hehe. But anyway, some of the things in this fiction are stuff that’s happened to me in real life, especially recently. But I wanted it to be fluffy. Haha, so tell me your thoughts!
