Before I begin, I would just like to warn everyone...there is going to be some language. There are going to be some issues that are addressed that you may not agree with. If you feel uncomfortable with anything, please don't feel that you must read. (But please, always remember, this is a work of FICTION) Also, with classes, and my internship starting soon, I will probably be able to post around once a week. If I get more than one chapter up a week...yay...if not, please realize that I'm not holding out for more replies...I am just busy...if I don't get even one chapter up a week...I apologize, I will do my best to make sure I post at least once a week, but if not, sorry. That being said...I give you...
SCIENCE OF THE MIND
Prologue:
“Fu.ck you!!!” Denise Jonas winced as the door slammed shut. So much for the brotherly love they portray to the world. This was hell, complete and utter hell. If they weren’t fighting, they weren’t speaking to each other. And it wasn’t enough for the three of them to have problems, but they had to drag their younger brother and father into the mix every now and then, just to spice things up.
“I don’t know how much more I can take.” She slumped down in the chair she’d been sitting in, just listening to her family fall apart. It was tough holding a family together under normal circumstances. But add in the fact that three of her sons were world famous musicians…it didn’t help the process.
“Mrs. Jonas?” The young techie approached her, and she forced a smile on her face.
“What’s up, Jay?” The girl always seemed jumpy around the boys, but today, with World War III going on in the background, she seemed unusually calm.
“I know it’s not my place, but I was wondering if I could maybe suggest something to you.” Denise nodded, prompting Jay to continue. “I know I don’t have kids of my own, but when my sister and I were having problems, we went to counseling.”
“Counseling.”
“Having a neutral third party in the room really helped us look at our issues with each other more objectively.”
