Aisling, I love that video clip in your siggy...just, edit Joe out, and show more of Kevin's sexy back!!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I don't care what anyone else says...that picture of them on the cover of RS...very...um...well, I'll just say it, it seems very homo-erotic, and incestuously charged. Basically, IT CREEPS ME OUT.

dude! DUDE! totally! i mean, it's such a weird picture! gah! i hate looking at it cause it's so creepy. and now they have it in poster form!?! what!?! scary. would never ever want that in my room. *shivers* the worst part is joe holding nick's tie. ewwwwww.
Yeah, in poster form. Gah. I just...how did NO ONE notice the creepiness of that picture? On some level, shouldn't JB have felt at least a smidge uncomfortable by this pose???
-Kevin, you try to rip Joe's shirt off of him, and Joe, you lead Nick around by the tie...Just like that. Perfect. *flash*
Oh, and I finally watched the South Park episode...that was PERFECTION. I wasn't actually planning on watching the episode, but you and a few others said I should. So I did, and OMG, I really REALLY hope they (JB) actually watched it too. Because it is SO dead on. *sigh* Totally made my day.
--and LOL..there was apparently a page set up (here on JBF) for people to talk about the episode...a lot of comments were from before it aired, and people were saying how making fun of JB is going to ruin South Park. Really??? Cause that show was just so clean and family-oriented to begin with. Right. Personally, I thought Disney would have had more of a shi.t fit about the episode, but I haven't heard too much about it. So, either the people at Disney can actually take a joke, or they too, fell asleep before it aired. I'm guessing the latter.
Oh oh oh...and thank you Lexi-con for this link: http://www.oceanup.com/2009/03/question-you-cant-ask-jonas-brothers.html#more
I don't know if that goes for just Kevin, or if that is the policy for interviews for all of them, but still...I am saddened by this for several reasons. The biggest of these reasons is...they wont talk about their religion. Wow. So much for being "the light of the world." I get that having to answer the same questions over and over again can get tiring. And I can even understand not wanting to bring up the topic yourselves. But to specifically say that interviewers should not ask you about religion...just doesn't seem right. I may have completely different views about religion than they do, but, according to Christianity, you're supposed to "let your light shine before others." I would think, step one, would be to be open and honest about your faith.
It all just seems very hypocritical...because yeah, the rings, and the promises to God are supposed to excuse the fact that they are selling sex, but then, to refuse to speak about God...if you believe in God, why would you refuse to speak about your beliefs?
Two years.
(Edit: Let me clarify, if they want to sell sex, I honestly don't care. I am at an age/maturity level in my life, that really, it doesn't bug me. It's your life, not mine. I am just against the fact that they use their religion to justify their actions. And, now, refusing to speak about said religion just...it really bugs me.
And yes, I already know I am going to Jonas Fan Hell for being such a horrible fan. I'm on the sixth level already, and sinking fast.)

i'm so glad you watched south park! i'm 99% sure they've got someone on staff that's a little more than familiar with the jonases cause they even got stage manerisms down to a T. lol. i'm so surprised that disney hasn't released some kind of comment about it though cause they're usually such tight asses about that kind of thing. ok, i love disney world and the cartoons but the company as a whole bugs the crap out of me. so totally surprised that they're not whining about the use of mickey at least. i think if the guys watched it they would laugh (if they were alone and not forced to watch it in a board room or with their parents or something crappy). i thought south park version of kevin looked like a creepy old man but that might be because i think he's so good looking in real life. lol.
the questions. *rolls eyes* i hate crap like that! seriously. you're famous and you've made the decision to try to be famous so tough s.hit. BUT i don't think it's necessarily kevin (since he was the one named) or the rest of their decision. i think it's all disney and the management. disney has been notoriously pc and afraid to talk about anything that could be potentially religious for years. look, i'm no fan of organized religion but i think if you've found something that makes you feel good and helps you live your life than more power to ya. maybe 12 years of catholic school beat any religious thoughts out of me so i'm pretty unbiased. but anyway, i think disney's afraid that by talking about religion they'll alienate some fans. cause before the disney thing started they seemed way more ok with talking about religion. same with girlfriends. cause there are probably some girls somewhere that would tear up posters if they found out that their favorite had a girlfriend/fiance/wife/special friend/whatever. so i blame the mouse and maybe their dad a little bit for that one.
what's happening in two years? i'm lost on that one...lol. but what else is new?
and if you're going to jonas fan hell in a handbasket then i probably won't be too far behind. going to a show might bump me up to level 4 or so but i can wave to you down in level 6. lol.

While part of me is right there with you, that Disney and management is to blame, I really don't think the boys themselves, are faultless in all of this. Yes, Disney has walked a thin line for a while, but I think they would rather be slightly more religious than not, considering the static they got over certain scenes in certain movies, from certain religious groups.
Regardless of what side of the religious argument Disney is on, there is something fishy about all of it, to me, at least. Because there seems to be two sides of this...1) the ring-wearing, promise to God side, and 2) the side that doesn't want to answer questions about religion. Disney can really only have one side, to push religion, or not. So, at least something going on has to be non-Disney derived.
Sometimes, I think Disney doesn't have as much control over JB as we think they do. In reality, JB is one of the biggest bands in the world. They could have pull over things if they wanted to. It's not as if a real mouse is gonna come and beat up Joe (although, I would PAY to see that).

i think disney just wants to push them as a happy little group that doesn't do "naughty" things so that more girls will like them. then the parents see how good and nice they are and buy their daughters the merchandise and concert tickets. if they start talking about jesus and stuff they risk losing their non-christian fans. i'll admit, if they went around preaching and going on about the bible and stuff i would be a little turned-off of the whole thing. but to each his/her own or whatever that saying is. i'm probably waaaay too much of a conspiracy theorist but whenever there's a huge corporation involved i get skeptical.

There is a good chance of that...lol. This is a touchy topic...*facepalm at myself*
Huge media corporations due tend to make me uneasy. And yeah, I think Disney has something to do with everything that has been going on with the boys. I also have a strong dislike of organized religion. No, not 12 years of Catholic school, but a religious fanatic father, who has made me weary of any church.
All that being said, which, actually, wasn't that much, I do think that the brothers have some influence on the directions they take, the decisions they make (ooo I rhymed), and I don't see them being totally faultless. I am definitely against them being preachy, but I think, if they have that faith, they shouldn't deny it...and they shouldn't refuse to answer questions about it...what's the point of having the faith if you don't follow it, and wont talk about it?
But yeah, I will have my fingers crossed that you get to meet them. Cause I want to know for sure if they are snotty little bi.tches (Joe probably is, regardless...jk) or are actually cool peeps. Wow, I am lame.

Hahaha Ginny and Auntie Trish, you two are SO going to JFH. Hahaha. Then again, I'm probably going to JFH too. But not as far as level 6. :P My thoughts on the whole religious thing are... In the beginning, weren't they "selling" the Jonas Brothers AS this group of Christian boys who made a vow to be pure until marriage? And now they're just, "we don't want to talk about it". Idk, kinda hypocritical if you ask me. (So going to hell for this hahahaha).
There's so much I want to say about this, and Ginny probably knows the stuff already since we talked about it on AIM yesterday (another reason for you to be on AIM more often Auntie Trish :P), but yeah, maybe next time when my brain isn't a bowl of mush because of studying. Haha I don't think I'm making sense anymore.
So yeah, see you two in JFH. At least we can keep each other company. HAHAHA.

well at least i'll be in good company in jfh! lol.
they're totally not totally clean in this whole thing but at the same time they're young and impressionable (ok, some of them. like the one that's easily distracted by shiny objects...not naming any names). i just...gah...i don't even know how to put into words my thoughts. wow. i just read that last sentence...should probably delete it cause of the horrible grammar but no, i think it conveys the state of my brain right now. lol.
i just wish our world wasn't so obsessed with what famous people do and at the same time i wish that famous people would just get over it and realize that people want to know aaallllll about them and stop being so uptight. if you don't want people to ask about your ring then don't f-ing wear one! then no one will care. of course to fix this it would require a time machine....hmmm....
in unrelated news: my starbucks closed!!!! nooooooooooo!!!!
and i will have to be on aim at some point this week. it's my new-week resolution. :)

I totally get what you're saying. It's just plain and utter confusion, because no one is coming out and saying what's actually going on. So, until someone does come and explain what's going on with the apparent about-face JB is doing regarding their religion, and the bizarre way they are handling other topics, I will probably continue to bombard you with strange notions and theories. (although, you gotta admit...the Joe/Camilla one was totally right)
I haven't been to Starbucks...in probably at least a year. Sad, but true.
Yay that you will be on AIM...I will have someone to distract me from the homework I should be doing over spring break!!!!! Although, I probably wont be on much tomorrow...as I have much to do, outside of my home.

Not that it makes it much better, but they're not twelve...they're thirteen/fourteen year olds. Gah. And they told me I was pretty today. At least they didn't say I was sexy, like they did last time. Creepy creepy children. *shudders*
Anyway, the plan for this week is to post a chapter today (btw...HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEXI-CON) and on Thursday...for two reasons...one, to make up for the week that I missed because of my stupid supervisor...and...two, because this chapter is rather short. That is the plan, but as always, plans can change, so it's not a guarantee.
So, here is...
Chapter 5
“So, I see you drew the short stick, huh, Frankie?” Abbey smiled as the young boy bounced into her office.
“I wanted to be first.” He grinned back at her, and plopped onto her couch. “So, what do I do?”
“What do you want to do? We can talk; you can tell me whatever’s on your mind. OR, we can play a game. It’s totally up to you.”
“What kind of games do you have?” Frankie’s eyes quickly darted to the bookshelf lined with books and, more importantly, board games. “Oh, can we play Monopoly?”
“You want Monopoly, you got it.” Before she could move, he had already scurried to the shelf and removed the game box. “Do you remember how to play? I don’t. It’s been too long since I’ve had anyone to play with. I must have forgotten.”
“I remember!” They both sat cross-legged on the floor and worked to set up the game. “Ok, what piece do you want to be?”
“The iron.” She answered immediately. He gave her a puzzled expression. “It’s a…you know what, don’t worry about it. What piece do you want to be?”
“I like the doggie.” Abbey smiled, and bit her tongue to keep from chuckling, which would do nothing but confuse him.
As the two of them played, they talked. He told her about what he was learning while being homeschooled, how he discovered a mouse in one of the dressing rooms, and how good he was getting on his videogames. Before they knew it, the small clock on her desk chimed.
“Ah, Frankie, our time is up. But I think it’s safe to say you are thoroughly wiping the floor with me.” He grinned and they both worked to quickly clean up the game. “I’ll see you next week.”
“Next week.” He repeated, and skipped out of Abbey’s office.
