Hey Guys! Yea, it's Brianna. Haha, okay so I had this idea for a new fic (this is my second actual fanfiction, but not my first story written, I've written one-shots and such, so i'm not completely new at this) and I'm not sure if it's what you guys are into but my buddy (haha, Fire) has read the first three chapters, she said she liked it, and I'm writing more as we speak.

Chapter 1

“Ugh.” I groaned as I turned off my alarm. The first day of the new semester, halfway there, I can do it. I went over to the bathroom and turned on the shower before stripping out of my pajamas. The bathroom filled with steam signaling the shower was ready. I stepped in and let the water fall over my body allowing myself to relax for a moment. I quickly washed my hair and shaved my legs before stepping back out and wrapping a towel around my body.

I walked back into my room and picked out a clean pair of underwear and slipped it on along with a nude bra and white tank top. I pulled out a pair of yellow shorts considering I actually shaved and slipped my navy blue tee shirt over my head letting my hair fall over my shoulders. I applied a bit of foundation and a bit of black eye liner before grabbing my backpack and slipping it over my shoulders and grabbing my converse before shutting my bedroom door.

“Morning mom,” I said as I descended the staircase and into the kitchen giving my mother a quick peck on the cheek.

“Good morning sweetie, I made you breakfast.” She replied placing the eggs onto the buttered toast and sliding it across the counter to me. I slipped on my shoes and looked at the plate.

“Thanks, but no thanks, I’m already late and I have to pick up Brent.” I grabbed a granola bar and grabbed my keys.

“Oh ok, well I’ll be here when you get home, your father said work is keeping him down in Atlanta longer than he expected so he should be around next week.” She took a sip of her coffee and waved goodbye to me as I walked out the door.

I threw my backpack into the backseat of my dad’s white pickup truck, thanks to him having so many business trips and not being able to take his car with him. I put my keys into the ignition allowing the guitar riffs of Paramore to blast through the car. Ten minutes later I pulled up to Brent’s house.

“Brent!” I hollered while honking my horn once. I watched him stumble out his door trying to zip up his backpack in the process.

“Hey Haleigh,” He mumbled while closing the door and shoving his backpack in the back as well. “Ugh, today sucks.”

“Why?” I asked turning down the music so he could talk without having to shout.

“It’s the first day of the new semester and I have to take another AP class.” He hit his head against the window and closed his eyes.

“Brent, chill. We’re half way through senior year. You’ve gotten nothing but A’s and B’s your whole high school career, don’t let this stress you out. You can totally do it.” I glanced over at him just in time to see him roll his eyes.

“Easy for you to say, at least you like your AP class. You’re a genius in Biology.” I smiled knowing he was right. I do like biology, and it’s my strong suit.

“That’s not the point. You just need to enjoy yourself. You’re a whiz at math; AP Calculus will be a piece of cake.” He smiled and I pulled into a parking space and pulled out my keys. “Besides, the girls in there are just you’re type and they’ll probably need some help. That’s where you come in.” I said with a smile and opened up my door grabbing my backpack in the process.

The bell rang signaling that we had ten minutes to get to our first class and Brent closed the passenger door. “I guess you’re right. I just have to relax, our real life starts after this year so I shouldn’t worry, and have fun while I still can.” We walked up the steps and into the main building of Ramapo High School.

“That’s the spirit.” I replied while walking to my locker which happened to be beside Brent’s.

“I heard that there was some hot shot music guy coming back here. To you know ‘be a normal guy again’ and rumor has it he’s in your biology class.” I put my Statistics book into my locker and grabbed my Biology and English literature book holding them firmly at my hip.

“Seriously Brent, you need to stop believing everything you hear. Besides, he probably isn’t even coming back,” I closed my locker and turned towards him “like you said, it’s just a rumor.” He swapped his Macroeconomics book for his Physics book and closed his locker too.

“Don’t deny it Haleigh; you know I’m always right.” I rolled my eyes and turned around to walk to my English class. Just as I did so a rush of wind went by and I watched a guy run down the hallway, his leather jacket hugging his arms perfectly. Then I heard the squeals, and a crowd of girls hastily ran in the same direction. I turned around to look at Brent who had a smug look on his face.

“Was that…?” I tried to put the pieces together and I pointed a finger in the direction the clan of girls ran. “That was…”

“The gods showing you that I am in fact always right? Yes, yes it was. See you at lunch.” He said while walking past me to his class. I shook my head and walked off too. That did not just happen, I thought to myself.
