Yay!!! I'm glad you all are excited about the story! Here's chapter one! Enjoy!
"LIIIIIIISSSSSSIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!"
Ugh, I thought. This can NOT be happening. I thought my parents changed the locks on the doors and windows....
"Lissie! Lissie! Lissie!!!"
"Go away, Joe! It's Saturday! I want to sleep!" I yelled into my pillow.
He sat down onto my bed and started bouncing up and down. "Come. On. Lissie!"
I groaned. "Joe...you may have the ability to stay up for 20 hours, sleep for 3 hours, and be ready to go for the next 20 hours, but I do not have that ability."
"You went to bed three hours ago?" his voice was suddenly confused.
I glanced up at the clock. 12:17pm. "Well...more like 9 hours ago."
"Then you should be ready to go! That's three times as much sleep as I usually get."
I threw the covers off me. "Glad to know you can do math, Joe," I mumbled as I walked into the bathroom.
"You look hot!" he called, still on my bed. I looked in my mirror. My hair was placed in all different directions, I had slight drool crust on the left side of my mouth, and small circles under my eyes. Joe's face appeared behind me.
"I betcha Danny boy would just LOVE to see the morning you," he said with a smirk, his left hand reaching into his back pocket.
"Joe," I said with a wanring tone. "You take a picture of me and send it to Daniel, you will face eternal wrath from me."
"Oooo, I'm scared," he replied
"Try me," I dared him, glaring at him with acid eyes
He put his hands up in surrender. "Alright, alright. I won't take your picture."
"Thank you."
Just then, Kevin ran in, snapped a picture, and ran out. It happened so fast, it took me a few moments to fully understand what had happened. Joe was on the ground laughing his butt off, and Kevin was nowhere in sight. Which was probably a good thing, since he would be dead. I shoved Joe out of the bathroom and locked the door, knowing that they probably would barge in on me.
I took my shower, letting the hot water wake me the proper way. I shampooed and conditioned. With the scent of lilac in the air from my body wash, I stepped out and finished drying off. I wrapped my towel tightly around me as I walked out of my bathroom. Joe was sitting on my bed, a goofy grin on his face.
"Out," I said, pointing to the door
"Awe, Liss. You're no fun," he whined, standing up
My mouth gaped as I stared at him. "Joseph Adam Jonas, I am appauled."
"Hey, what can I say," he said, walking over to me. "I'm a guy!"
He pecked my cheek and ran out. Such a dork, I thought as I locked the door. I pulled on a tank top and demin shorts. Not wanting to deal with my hair, I put it up into a messy bun. I unlocked my door and walked downstairs.
Awaiting me were Joe and Kevin at the bottom of the stairs. Nick was sitting on the couch. The smell of bacon, eggs, and french toast was coming from the kitchen. I looked at Joe and Kevin.
"You didn't cook, did you?" I asked suspiciously.
"Oh Lissie," Kevin said. "It hurts that you think that we can't handle a few appliances."
"Well, in the words that Joe used earlier, 'I can't help it. You're a guy!'"
I walked cautiously into the kitchen. Everything seemed to be all in one piece. No smell of anything burnt, just the food that was setting on the table. Joe and Kevin appeared at my sides and lead me to the table, setting me in a chair. Joe and Kevin both placed massive amounts of food on my plate.
"Woah woah, guys guys! Ease up, I'm not a teenage boy!" I said, stopping Joe from putting the tenth bacon strip on my plate.
I started eating the food. "Aren't you guys gonna eat?"
Kevin shook his head. "We already had breakfast."
"Pft, speak for yourself, bro. It's lunchtime!" Joe exclaimed, piling half his plate with eggs.
Kevin rolled his eyes. "You're such a pig, Joe."
DING DONG
"I got it!" Nick yelled
"Fansss!" I said with a mouth full of french toast
I heard the door open and close, and some muffled voices. Then Daniel appeared at the archway into the kitchen.
"Hey babe!" I exclaimed, getting up and leaping into Daniel's arms
"Hey Lissiebear," he replied, kissing my cheek.
As we pulled apart, he looked at me and laughed.
"What?" I asked
He leaned in a licked off something sticky, most likely syrup, from the side of my mouth. I blushed with embarrassment. He smiled and kissed me quickly on the lips.
"Brunch I was not invited to?" Daniel asked, looking around my shoulder
"Hey, I had no idea they were doing this. Otherwise, I would've called," I explained. "Would you like some anyway?"
"You don't have to ask me twice!" he replied, grabbing a plate and loading it up with everything.
Daniel sat across from Joe. As he sat down, Joe and him did the guy handshake that every guy on the planet seems to know. He nodded over to Kevin with a "Hey Kev". After that, he was lost in his food, scarfing it down like your average teenage boy.
I looked around the kitchen. Joe and Daniel, best friends since kindergarden, hoovering up their lunch. Kevin, casually leaning against the counter, shaking his head at Joe. And Nick, standing next to Kevin, taking the occasional sips from his water bottle.
Yep. These were my boys.
