Since Trusting Fate is wrapping up, I decided to go ahead and post the prologue for my new fic. I have some great ideas for it...so... yeah.
Comments make me happy.

…prologue…
“Nat, he’s a wreck without you” Joe said sincerely as he stood in the threshold of her bedroom. “I don’t think I have ever seen him like this before.”
“Really Joe?” Natalie replied coldly. How dare Joe show up at her house unexpectedly, well she knew he was in town, but still, and how dare he start to tell her about him. “Does it look like I’m doing all that great here? Because, I’ll clue you in, I’m not.” She motioned around her room to its lack of cleanliness. Joe was completely surprised; Natalie was one of the cleanest people he knew. It wasn’t that she was a neat freak, it was more like, she organized things, for fun.
Once he looked around her room, Joe turned his gaze towards her appearance. The Natalie that Joe knew cared about what she looked like. But the girl standing in front of him had a pair of sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt on. Her hair was not straightened and it was thrown up lazily on top of her head.
“If you are both so miserable, why don’t you stop being so stubborn and fix it” Joe said frustrated at the situation.
“Because it’s not that simple” Natalie fired back. “You don’t even know what happened, so why don’t you stay out of it.”
“You’re right, I don’t know what happened” Joe conceded. “But that’s because neither of you will tell me anything. Hell, this is the first time you have spoken to me since you left. And Nick, well he just leaves the room every time your name is mentioned.”
“I don’t….I don’t want to talk about it” Natalie said as she sat down on her bed. She pulled her legs up to her chest while her back rested on the headboard of her bed.
“You can talk to me” Joe said softly as he sat down on the end of the bed. “I’m your kangaroo remember?” This earned a smile from Natalie and Joe took that as an okay to move closer. He scooted up the bed, until his back was resting against the headboard and his leg was resting against hers. “So tell me Nat Bat…what happened?” Natalie cracked a smile once again before resting her cheek on her knee in silence.
“He hurt me” she replied softly, after a few moments. “He promised he wouldn’t hurt me, and he did. Just like everybody else. Your best friend is supposed to be the one person that NEVER hurts you.”
**If you couldn't tell.... This is the kind of prologue that is a scene from somewhere in the middle of the fic. So.... it's not really supposed to make sense. hahaha
