CHAPTER ONE
2 Weeks Earlier
“Ugh! My brain is like mush right now sbuddy, I don’t know how much more studying I can do before my head explodes,” I said as I sat on the living room floor with books scattered around me, rubbing my temples.
“Awww you can do it Steph, just think in a week and a half, we’ll be done with finals and then winter break here we come!” Spence said looking up from her own pile of books on the floor.
“Very true, but we never do anything during break, so I’ll just be sitting here like a bum per usual,” I said sighing. Yet another winter break with no excitement, just gonna sit here in the house watching the snow fall outside just like last year and the year before that.
“Not this year,” Spence mumbled to herself, a smile appearing on her face.
“What was that sbuddy?” I said as I looked back down at my math book.
“Huh? I didn’t say anything…” she responded, going back to her studies.
Hmmm I thought to myself, I could have sworn she said something…. Maybe I am losing it.

A Week and a half later
“I’M FREEEEEEE!!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!!!” I exclaimed as I walked into our house after I had just taken my last final.
“OMSB! What a kawinkadink! Me too!”
“OMSB NO WAY!” I said with a pretend look of shock on my face as I tossed my backpack in the corner.
“Now we can relax until the middle of January,” she said plopping herself on the couch.
“Chyeah we can,” I said joining her.
“So sbuddy I has a surprise for you?” she said turning her body towards me.
“Oh you do, do you?” I said raising my eyebrow.
“Mmmmhmm” she said as she started to get a smile on her face.
“Well….spit it out!” I said, impatient like always.
“Ok, so you know how we haven’t really gotten a chance to do anything for the past couple of breaks we’ve had from school?”
“Yeah…” I said wondering where the French toast she was going with this? Is she trying to tell me that we’re ACTUALLY going somewhere for once! I thought to myself getting excited.
“Well not this year…….. SBUDDY! WE’RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!” she exclaimed waiting for my reaction.
“OMSB NO WAY!” I shouted, jumping off the couch. In all my 18 years on this planet, I had never gone to Disneyworld, Disneyland or any amusement park for that matter, so I was just full of excitement.
I started to happy dance right there in the middle of our living room, I probably looked like a complete idiot doing it but who cares! I’m going to Disneyworld!
I looked over at Spence laughing on the couch and deciding to run over and tackle her with a hug.
“OMSB THANK YOU SPENCE!”
“Haha your welcome Stephanie” she said slightly out of breath.
“Wooohooo, Christmas came early this year! Wait, when are we leaving for Florida?”
“In 4 days, so I guess we should get packing”
“I guess so sbuddy,” I said as I walked toward the hallway, thinking of where I put my suitcase.

Present day (2 days later)
“Steph, you all set?” Spence asked as she walked into my disaster of a room.
“Umm….” Was all I could manage to say to her, because for the past 2 hours I had pretty much gone through all the clothes in my room trying to decide what to pack for our trip.
“Wow, what the heck happened in here sbuddy?”
“Well I don’t really know what to bring with me so I decided to go through everything….” I said as I look at the nice organized mess I made.
Spence looked at the mess I had and shook her head, “Just take some jeans and some shirts, it’s not that hard Stephanie.”
“I know but I want some options just in case, “ I said as I pulled clothes off my bed in order to get to my suitcase.
“In case of what? What the heck do you think is gonna happen when we get there?”
“Well I don’t know, it is the happiest place on earth maybe we’ll get lucky and find our prince charmings there or something…” I said drifting into a bit of a daydream, how awesometastical would it be if that happened?!?! But knowing my luck it never will, after all the universe does hate me.
“All I have to say is that you better be ready and packed before you go to bed tonight, our flight leaves at like 10am tomorrow,” Spence said handing me one of my favorite pairs of jeans.
“I know,” I said sighing, I looked up at the clock, “well I have about 2 or 3 more hours left to pack so I should get crack-a-lacking.”
“Ok, I’ll leave ya to it sbuddy,” Spence said as she headed for the doorway.
“Wait! How’s YOUR packing coming along Spence?” I asked curious as to whether SHE was done yet.
“Well….”
