Chapter 1

Annie’s Pov:
*Flashback*
Hidge Hiking can lead to great things. That’s how I met my best friends. I was hidge hiking in the rain and a group three girls pulled over. “Hey. You need a ride?” One of them asked.
“Yeah.” I said.
“Climb in. By the way I’m Lily.” The girl said.
“I’m Ailynn.” Another said from the driver seat.
“And I’m Kati.” I girl said poking her head out from the back.
She opened the door. “Thanks I’m Annie.” I said buckling my seat belt.
“Where to?” Ailynn asked.
“Umm I live on the outskirts of town in the ghetto. Fifteen Ninety-Five Lucas Street.” I said. I felt like I was in a taxi.
“Alright!” Ailynn said taking off.
“Thanks again.” I said.
“No biggie.” Kati said.
We had a nice little convention in the car, but it ended all to soon. Before I
climbed out we traded e-mail addresses. I climbed out and Lily’s window
rolled down. I took my dirty little hand and stuck it out toward Lily she
looked in and saw a crumbled dollar bill. She balled my hand around it.
“Keep it.” She said.
“Are you sure?” I asked.
“Yeah this isn’t far from our house at all.” Ailynn piped in.
“Alright bye.” I said turning toward my door. I turned back look at the road
and saw them head all the way toward uptown. Which was on the other side
of the town which was a good 15 minutes away. I sighed before walking
into my small house to hear the screams of 4 other kids and one of a mother
trying to get them down for a nap. I walked upstairs and fought my older
sister for the big old e-machine computer. When I lost I walked into my
older brothers room. He was reading a comic.
“Hey Jaidyn.” I said.
“Hey Squirt what’s up?” He asked pulling me into his lap and ruffling my
hair. 
“Nothing. What comic you reading?” I asked.
“Superman.” Will you read it to me.
“Sure.” He said then he began to read I fell asleep with my head on Jay’s
chest while he read.
*End of Flashback*
I was kneeling on the window seat with a bag by my knees. As I watched for
Lily’s car. I saw the silver Pontiac pull into the cracked up black
driveway. I Grabbed my bag and darted toward the door.
“Their here their here.” I yelled jumping up and down. I kissed my mom,
Jay and darted outside before my friends could reach the door. They climbed
back in the car.
“Excited much?” Kati asked.
“This is my first ever sleepover!” I said bouncing in my seat.
“Calm down!” Ailynn said trying to get me to buckle my seatbelt.
I took some deep breaths. “Okay I’m calm.” I said.
“Good.” Lily laughed.
We sat in the car blaring the radio all the way to Kati’s house. We arrived
and my mouth dropped at the size of the house. It would take more than 50
of my houses to equal Kati’s first story and she had two. This was going to
be so cool!
