I would like to present to you:
Chapter One
“Mel..why exactly are you taking me on this trip you planned?” Emily demanded, crossing her arms over her chest, and tapping her foot frustrated about the current situation we’re..well, the situation I’m dragging her in. See, my three best friends are going on vacation for the first time in a VERY long time..they wanted me to tag along and this would be the perfect time to introduce Emily, my other best friend to them. I sighed, stopped packing and looked up at her.
“Em, you have to stop worrying! And stop asking so many questions! You gotta relax a little sometimes, you know that? You’re always so uptight about things.”
She sighed, walked over to me and gave me a hug. “I’m sorry for being so…annoying. It’s just the break up with Brandon..” she said a tear swelling up in her eye.
“Forget about that douchebag, Em. He doesn’t deserve you at all..” I said releasing her and resuming my packing. She sniffed, nodded and walked away. She didn’t need to pack anything since she met me at my home. Once I’m done packing, we’re going to take a cab to the airport and from then on we’ll board the plane and who knows what will happen next.

After an hour long of packing, an hour of waiting for the plane, and a 4 hour ride to our destination..we were finally there! We headed over to baggage claim and retrieved our belongings. Walking towards the doors that led outside, Em looked over to me and asked, “So..Mel..who and when are we going to meet your so called ‘Best Buds’ and..where are we?” using air quotes.
I laughed and replied, “Em, they are real people, okay?! They said they will meet us somewhere around…here!” I pointed excitedly to the big black SUV that was parked a few feet away from us. There was a man holding a sign that read: Melanie Achariam.
“And we’re in the Bahamas!” I grabbed a hold of Emily’s hand and pulled her towards the car.
“Oh my gosh! Mr. Jonas?! Is that you? It’s really nice to see you again!” I said giving him a hug.
“Melanie! It’s great to see you again, too! The boys are at the venue..they said it would be safe if I picked you up..but you know..I had to have an extra way of not getting noticed!” he said holding up his sun glasses.
I heard Emily clear her throat and I introduced her to Mr. Jonas. We loaded up the car with our baggage and piled in. “Venue?” Emily mouthed to me once we were safely in the back seats. “Later.” I mouthed back to her, not wanting to explain anything right now.
“So, Mr. Jonas, I thought the boys haven’t started the tour yet?” I asked confused.
“They’re just rehearsing, Mel. The tour starts in two weeks.” He explained making a right. It turns out that the venue was only a 10 minute drive from the airport. Mr. Jonas dropped us off while he drove off to the hotel to set our luggage in our rooms.
I took my cell out of my back pocket and texted Joe:
Dude! We’re outside..come get us? –Mel<33
“So where are they?” Emily asked.
“I texted Joe to come get us..he’ll be here in a minute, Em. I can’t wait for you to meet them! I’m sure you even find a certain companion for this trip!” I said nudging her in the side with my elbow and smiling cheesily. She smiled and rolled her eyes at me.
A minute later, my phone buzzed. I pulled it out and the text read:
K..comin! –Joe
And true to his word, he came. Well, more like tackled me to the ground. “Joey!” I exclaimed , hugging him tightly once he helped me up. “Mel! It’s so great to see you after all this time!!” he said returning the joy.
We pulled apart and I said, “Joey, this is Emily..my other best friend. Emily, this is Joe my other best friend!” He embraced her in a warm hug and we soon made our way into the venue.
Once we were in, Emily and I were embraced in many hugs by the Jonas clan.
“Wow, Mel! The last time I saw you..you’re highlights were red..now they’re purple? That’s crazy!” Kevin said as we walked up to the new stage the boys were practicing on.
“Guys, this is amazing! You’re new stage is awesome!” I said.
“Isn’t it? Mel, you do NOT know how stoked we are for this tour!” Nick said happily strumming a few chords on the guitar that was strapped around him.
“I can only imagine, Nicholas!” I replied.
Soon enough, just as I had expected, Emily who was Nick’s age, started a conversation. I peered over the drums I was playing on and smiled to myself as I saw Em blush, and giggle at something Nick had said.
I stood up and walked over to Joe. He and I are the same age, which explains why I was the closest to him out of the three brothers.
I snuck up behind him, wrapped my arms around his torso, and I felt him tense up.
“Hi, Joey” he relaxed and turned around so that he was face to face with me.
I rested my head in the crook of his neck and sighed.
“You tired?” he asked wrapping his arms around me and resting his chin on my head.
“Mmmhhmmm.”
He laughed and pinched me in the side, where it tickled me most..which he only knew. I giggled and broke away from his embrace, smacking his arm.
“Oww! That hurt!” he complained rubbing his arm.
“Well, you shouldn’t have done that Joe! You know I don’t like it when you do that!” I said beginning to walk away.
“Aww, I’m sorry, Mel!” he said trying to win me back into his arms. I ran from him and hid behind Nick. Disrupting his conversation with Emily. “Nick, save me!” I pleaded. He laughed and said, “Sorry, Mel. But remember last time? When you wouldn’t save me from Joe? Well, it’s your turn now.”
“Nick!” I laughed “that was five months ago! How can you hold that against me? Ahh, fine who needs you anyway?” I ran from behind Nick and was stopped when Joe caught up to me and tackled me into a bone crushing hug.
“Get off me!” I laughed and tried to wiggle my way out of his grip but he was too strong and I gave up eventually letting him pull me to the corner of the stage and making me sit down.
“Joe, I’ve missed you so much!” I said melting into him arms. It felt so safe and warm there..I never wanted to leave it. He laughed and said, “I’ve been missing you since you set foot out of my house 5 months ago, Mel!”
Soon enough, it was time for the boys to get back to rehearsing their show. Emily and I sat in the seats to watch them.
“Soo..when were you going to tell me that you’re best friends with world famous rockstars?” she asked nonchalantly.
I smirked and replied, “I was.. sooner or later..”
