001.
“Megan, are you ready? The limo’s here!” My best friend, Kathryn, called up the stairs. I soon stepped out of my room and ran down the stairs to grab my bags. My mom, Kathryn, and I headed out to the beautiful, black stretch limo in my driveway after saying good-bye to my dad and brother.
The inside of the limo was even more extravagant than the outside! I was bouncing in my seat from all of the excitement.
“Meg, you’re acting like you’ve never been in a limo before!” Kathryn said, trying to hold me down.
“I haven’t,”
“All sixteen years you’ve lived and you have never been in a limo?” I shook my head, finally settling down. I watched out the window the entire ride to the airport.
It seemed that the flight down to Nassau was even more agonizing than the limo ride to the airport. I just couldn’t wait to feel the warm weather and know that I would be seeing three of the greatest guys in 24 hours. I obviously had fallen asleep because the next time I opened my eyes the sun was shining in through the airplane windows and everyone was being told to prepare for landing. Finally! I thought as I shook Kathryn and my mother awake. The best vacation was about to begin.
After we had settled into our suite, yes a suite, we all decided to take a walk around the hotel. Kathryn and I stopped dead in our tracks when we reached the lobby.
“Is that…?” She asked.
“It is!” I exclaimed with a smile that probably couldn’t have gotten any bigger.
“Go say hi!” My mom said as we stared at Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas standing at the check-in counter with the rest of their family and a few security guards.
“Mom, you can’t just go up and say hi to them!” I hissed.
“Why not?” And with that my mother walked over to the Jonas Brothers. I quickly ducked behind Kathryn at an attempt to hide my embarrassment.
“Meg, Kathryn, come here!” She was waving at us from across the lobby. Kathryn and I put a smile on and walked over to the guys. “This is my daughter, Megan, and her friend, Kathryn. They won the contest.” My mom said putting a hand on each of our shoulders.
“Mom,” I whined. Joe chuckled and stuck out his hand. I was staring at it in awe before Kathryn nudged me.
“Nice to meet you,” He said as I weakly grabbed onto his hand.
“Congratulations on winning the contest!” Kevin said as we too shook hands.
“So, I guess we’ll be seeing you around,” Nick said shyly. Kathryn and I nodded, at a loss of words. I looked up and locked eyes with Nick and quickly looked away. It was almost an uncomfortable feeling looking a celebrity in the eye.
“Cool, well we’ll see you ladies tomorrow.” Joe winked at us before they walked over to their family and luggage.
“Wow…” Was all I could manage to say.
“See, now was that so hard?” My mom asked. Kathryn and I turned to each other and squealed.
“Oh my gosh, they were so cute! Did you see how Nick was all shy and how Joe winked at us?!” We were a couple of babbling teenagers as we made our way in the opposite direction the guys had gone.
We really had just met the Jonas Brothers! Oh, and it would only get more interesting from there.
