Beloved Journal
(A Nick One Shot)
Dear Diary, August 28, 2009
I went to my first Jonas Brothers concert today. It was incredible. The best part was that I had Meet & Greet passes and VIP Sound Check Party passes. At the M & G, Nick told me I have pretty eyes.
NICK JONAS told me I have pretty eyes. Whoa.
My eyes are just brown…I thought they were plain until he said that. I mean, it was just…whoa.
I wanted to say his eyes were gorgeous, too, but I was a little busy being speechless…and shy.
Well, I’m exhausted. So, talk later?

I snuck into another Meet & Greet at a Jonas Brothers concert. Nick said he recognized me, and that my eyes were even prettier.
I was a little less shy and said thank you, but that was all I could get out.
That boy makes me crazy.

Guess who I saw at a Starbucks today! The one and only Nick Jonas.
Gosh. I think he’s stalking me. Then again, I was the one who went to the Meet & Greets, and the meeting at Starbucks was probably just coincidence. So here’s what happened:
I entered Starbucks, as I do every Monday after school. I ordered a latte and made my way to my usual table, only to find that someone else was already there. He glanced up at me from his book. “Can I help you with something?” he asked, turning his attention back to the novel.
“Well, I hate to bother you, but this is my seat,” I replied softly, not wanting to seem rude. I pointed to the spot where I had carved my name into the table (with the permission of the manager, of course). He looked over.
“Alyssa, that’s a pretty name.” There was a short silence. I noticed that his face wasn’t quite clear, yet he looked familiar. “Do you want to sit down?” I nodded and sat in the chair across from him.
I pulled out my algebra book and began my homework. There was a soft chuckle. I glanced up. “What’s so funny?”
“I remember homework. That was terrible,” he laughed, without looking up from his book. I nodded.
“Aren’t you a little young to be out of high school?”
“I was home schooled, so I already graduated.”
“Oh.” He finally looked up at me. My heart skipped a beat, and my eyes widened as I realized who I was sitting across from. “Y-You’re…” He smiled, a rare phenomenon to witness.
“Nick Jonas?”
“Uh yes!” He stared at me for a moment, examining me like I was some kind of lab rat in a scientific experiment.
“I recognize you…” My jaw dropped.
“You do?!”
“Yeah, you’re the girl with the dazzling eyes.” I blushed. He hesitated a moment. “Would you like to…go out…with me…sometime?” I was practically screaming inside my head.
“I’d love to!”
There it is. Now I have a date with Nick Jonas on Saturday. He’s taking me out to dinner.
Diary…I’m going to dinner with Nick Jonas!

Oh, you should have been there! It was terribly romantic. The date, I mean. The date was unbelievable.
We ended up going to a movie afterwards. It’s kind of funny actually. He was really straight forward with me. Right before the movie started, he said, “Alyssa, I’m going to be completely honest with you. I really want to put my arm around you, but I don’t want to be cliché and do that silly ‘yawn’ thing.”
That made me laugh. He’s so perfect.

I’m sorry I haven’t written in you in so long. I’ve been so busy, mostly with Nick.
Gosh, have I ever mentioned how perfect he is? Not like…too perfect. But perfect enough that it makes me crazy about him.

Dear Diary, October 31, 2009
Nick kissed me tonight. It was…magical. It’s so hard to describe. It’s like trying to describe color to a blind person.
It was glorious, heavenly, magnificent, delightful, brilliant, dazzling…It was magic.
Then (It gets better!) he asked me to be his girlfriend! Can you believe it?! Of course I said yes.
I’m Nick Jonas’ girlfriend!

Dear Diary, December 25, 2009
This is the last time I’ll be writing in you. I’m handing you over to Nick. I want him to know what I was really feeling from the time we met, until now. We’ve been dating for a few months now, and I really like him.
The happiness is beyond belief, and I’m not just being naïve.
Nick, you’re incredible. I don’t want to be with anyone but you. You’re the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I’m in love with you.
