~Angela's POV~

I watched my best friend Joe as he walked ahead of me trying to be funny and get me to laugh.Let's just say that it was working causing him to continue to do it.Joe and I had been friends since I could remember our mom's were friends in highschool.Joe and I were also born a day apart our mothers had gone in on the same day to have us but then I was born the day after Joe.After I had turned thirteen I started to see Joe as more than a friend in fact I fell in love with him but I didn't let him know that because I was afraid that it would ruin our friendship.

"You know we leave on our two year tour tomorrow."Joe said as he stopped fooling around.

"Don't remind me."I said with a little sigh as I walked over towards the swing and sat down,he came over and got behind me as he started to push.

Joe and his brothers Nick and Kevin were in a band called the Jonas Brothers,they had just gotten back from there tour with Miley cyrus/Hannah Montana.I was happy to have them back but they were only there for a week and then they were headed back on the road again.

"I wish you could come with us."Joe said as he continued to push me.

"Yeah so do I."I said softly"I barley get to see you guys anymore."

Joe didn't say anything as he continued to push me on the swing a few minutes of silence as his phone started to go off.He stopped pushing me as he read the text he had gotten.He sighed a little as he shut his phone and put it back into his pocket.

"Mom said I should come back home and start packing."He said as he stopped my swing"You want to come and help."

I got up off the swing as I looked at the time on my phone.

"Sure I guess I can help."I said with a small smile as he grabbed my hand causing my heart to skip a beat as we headed back towards his house.

After helping Joe pack his things I had dinner with the family and then Kevin drove Joe and I back to my house.I sighed as Joe and I got out of the car and headed for my door.

"I wish you could stay for a few minutes."I said softly my voice cracking as tears came to my eyes.

He gave a sad smile as he pulled me into a hug and I cried into his chest as he stroked my hair.

"It's going to be ok Ang."He said softly as he pulled away"Time will fly by and before you know it will be back here with you."

I nodded my head slowly asked he pulled away.

"I'll miss you."I said.

"Same here."He said as Kevin honked the car horn"I guess I better go."
He gave me one last hug before he headed down the porch stairs and down the sidewalk.He looked back at me and waved before he got into the car.

"I love you."I whispered as I watched the car pull away and the tears started to fall down my face as I walked into the house.

~Joe's POV~

It hurt walking away from her when I wanted so bad for her to be able to come on the two year tour with us but her parents and mine didn't think that was such a good idea.Angela was my best friend she had been since I could remeber but I liked her as more than a friend.I was in love with her.I turned as I looked at her one last time and slowly waved.

Chapter 1

~Twenty years old~

Joe was right the time did fly though I hadn't seen Joe in two years we talked on the phone everytime he was free.I told him everything that was going on with me and he did the same though there was one thing I kept from him and that was my boyfriend Jeremy.I just couldn't bring myself to tell him no matter how hard I tried.

I smiled as I picked my phone up and Joe's name flashed across the screen.

"Hello."I said answering the phone as I walked into the kitchen.

My parents had gone on a month long trip leaving me at home to take care of everything.

"Hey guess where I'm at."He said.

"You know I don't like guessing at stuff."I said with a little smile as I poured myself some tea and then sat down at the kitchen bar.

"Well then I'll just tell you."Joe said"We're back in town and I'm at my house."

"That's nice."I said with a little laugh

"So can I come and see you?"He asked.

"Of coarse you can."I said my smile growing wider at the thought of seeing Joe again"Bring Kevin and Nick too becuase I really want to see them too."

"Ok see you in about twenty minutes."He said before he hung up.

I quickly jumped up and ran towards the stairs so that I could change before they got there.I looked through my closet trying to find the perfect outfit to wear.I decided on one of my summer dresses.

As soon as I put my hair up the doorbell rang,I smiled as I quickly walked down the stair and opened the door stopping when I saw A.J. beside Joe.

"Hey Ang."Joe said as he walked in giving me a big hug.I smiled and hugged him back as A.J.,Nick and Joe came walking into the house.

"Hey guys."I said as I pulled away from Joe and hugged Kevin and Nick.

Once I got done hugging them Joe put his arm around A.J. and smiled.I felt a little jealous as I looked at the two of them.

"Ang you remember A.J.?"Joe asked with a little smile as A.J. looked at him and smiled.

"Yeah I do."I said softly smiling at her"It's nice to see you again."

"You too."She said with a little smile.

I told them to go and sit down in the living room to watch t.v. while I went into the kitchen to get them something to drink,while I was in there the doorbell rang.

I wonder who that is.

"I'll get it."I heard Joe yell.

I slowly walked towards the kitchen door just as Joe opened the door to reveal Jeremy standing there.I smiled as I walked over to him.

"Hey babe."He said as he leaned down and kissed me gently.

I smiled and kissed him back before I pulled away to see Joe standing there his mouth hanging open half way.There was a look in his eyes that I had never really seen before.

"Joe this is my boyfriend Jeremy."I said softly as I looked up at Jeremy with small smile"Jeremy this is my best friend that I told you about Joe."
~Joe's POV~

Our two year tour had come and gone and we were finally back home.Angela may have not got to see each other but we did talk on the phone about everything that had been going on.There was only one thing that I didn't tell her and that was that I was dating A.J. again.We ran into each other on the road and ended up talking for a really long time before we decided to get back together.

I ended up calling Angela as soon as we got back and she told us to go ahead and come over.I decided that it was time for me to let Angela know that A.J. and I were back together.

When we got to her house and she quickly opened the door with a smile on her face.My breathe caught in my throat as I looked at her.

I almost forgot how beautiful she was.

"Hey Ang."I said as I walked in hugging her.

"Hey guys."She said as she pulled away from me hugging Kevin or Nick.

I walked over and put my arm around A.J.

"Ang you remember A.J.?"I asked with a little smile as A.J. smiled up at me.

"Yeah I do."She said softly smiling at her"It's nice to see you again."

"You too."A.J. said smiling.

Angela told us to go and sit in the living room while she went to go and fix our drinks.I turned the t.v. on as I sat next to A.J as we watched the t.v.The doorbell rang while we were sitting there.

"I'll get it."I said as I hoped off the couch and walked towards the door.

I opened it to see a guy standing there.

Who is this?
I watched Angela as she walked over smiling.

"Hey babe."The guy said leaning down and kissing Angela.

I felt a wave of jealousy wash over me as she kissed him back with a little smile before she pulled away and looked at me.

"Joe this is my boyfriend Jeremy."She said softly as she looked up at Jeremy with small smile"Jeremy this is my best friend that I told you about Joe."

"Hey it's nice to finally meet you."He said holding his hand out for me to shake.

I slowly took his hand as I shook it my jaw clenched.After I let go of it I turned and walked towards the kitchen because I knew that Ang would head that way.

~Angela's POV~

I watched Joe as he walked towards the kitchen before I turned back towards Jeremy with a little smile.

"I need to get everyones drinks."I said softly letting go of him"So why don' t you go to the living room and introduce yourself to everyone in there."

"Ok."He said as he leaned down and kissed me once more.

I watched him walk into the living room before I turned and headed into the kitchen where Joe was standing with his arms crossed.

"Joe are you ok?"I asked.

"Why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend?"He asked.I knew he was angry because he wouldn't look at me and his jaw was clenched.

"I just didn't think that you would really care."I said as I pulled glasses out of the cabinet and put them on the counter before I walked over to the fridge.

"How could you think I wouldn't care?"He asked raising his voice"Come on Ang we always tell each other everything."

"Sure we do Joe."I said softly as I got the ice trays out and walked past him not bothering to look at him"When did you get back together with A.J.?"
"What does that have to........."

"When did you get back together with her."I said interrupting him.

"A month ago."He said.

"See why should I have to tell you I have a boyfriend when you can't even tell me that you got back together with your ex."I said shaking my head as I looked up at him.

"I knew you would have tried to talk me out of it."He said.

I shook my head as I put the glasses on the tray and walked towards the door.

"Joe she got mad at you for accidently forgetting her birthday while you were on tour."I said softly as I looked at him"She also got mad because you would call me when you had free time and not her."

I didn't wait for him to answer as I walked out of the kitchen and headed towards the living room with the drinks.

Chapter 2

It was awkard between Joe and I after that.He came walking back into the living room a few minutes after I had given everyone there drinks and then sat down next to Jeremy on the love seat.Joe sat down in between A.J. and Kevin his arms still crosssed as he stared at the t.v.

Kevin looked back and forth between the two of us.

"Is everything ok?"He asked looking at me.

"Everythings fine."I said softly not looking at him.

"Yeah everythings fine."Joe said his arms still crossed as he stared at the t.v.

"Ok well Nick and I need to go."Kevin said as he stood up"We have to pick Jenna and Becka up at the airport."

"Who are they?"I asked with a little smile as I watched Nick stand up a huge smile on his face.

"Well Becka is my girlfriend."Nick said with a little smile"I met her two years ago on tour."

"Jenna is mine."Kevin said with a little smile"I met her during the best of both worlds tour."

"So they're fans?"I asked and they both nodded"When do I get to meet them?"

"Well you can come with us right now."Kevin said with a little shrug.

I looked at Jeremy and bit my lip a little.I really wanted to go but he had just gotten here and it had been awhile since I had gotten to spend anytime with him.

"You go ahead and go."Jeremy said with a small smile as he leaned forward and kissed me"But you owe me a date tomorrow night.

"Thanks Jeremy."I said smiling as I put my hand on his cheek and kissed him.When I pulled away from him I got Joe glaring at us before he quickly looked away.

What's with him?

I slowly got up and walked with Jeremy towards the door.I stood on the porch and watched him walk down the driveway and then pull away in his car.

"Ready to go?"Kevin asked when I walked back into the house.

I nodded my head as we all headed out to Kevin's car.Joe,Nick and A.J. got into the back.Normally I would have gotten in the back seat with Joe but I was a little upset with him.

"Ok I think we're going to have to pick up the van."Kevin said as he drove back towards their house.He parked his car before we all got out hoping into Mrs.Jonas' car.

As we drove towards the airport Kevin turned on the radio and flipped through stations before he finally gave up and turned on the CD player.

"So that's where my switchfoot CD went."Joe declared loudly causing me to smile a little.I was the one who had gotten him that CD for his eighteenth birthday because I had broken his last one my accident.

~Flashback~

I watched with a smile on my face as Joe opened his gift from me,we had decided to exchange our birthday gifts for each other on my birthday because he had gone out of town with his family on his.I watched a smile come to his face as he looked up at me his eyes sparkling.

"Thank you."He said as he reached over giving me a hug"I missed my old one."

"Yeah well I figured I owed you since I broke the other one."I said with a small smile as he pulled away.

"You got that right."He said with a small laugh as he looked down at the CD and then back up at me"Ok it's time for you present so close your eyes."

I smiled and slowly closed my eyes as I waited for him to give me my present.I felt him standing behind me before I fel something being put around my neck.

"Can I open them now?"I asked.

"Just a sec."Joe said as he pulled my hair up and then I heard him sit down beside me"Ok open them."

I opened then and looked down at the necklace that was around my neck with a small smile.I quickly hugged Joe.

"I love it."I whispered into his ear"Thank you."

~End flashback~

I looked down at the necklace around my neck with a small smile before I glanced back at Joe who smiled back at me.My smile soon faded when I saw the look on A.J.'s face.I quickly turned around and looked out my window.

Chapter 3

~Joe's POV~

I guess Angela really was mad at me because she jumped into the front seat of Kevin's car instead of sitting with me in the back like she normally would.I kept my eye on her as she watched out her window.

Kevin started to mess with the radio before he gave up and turned on the CD player.

"So that's where my switchfoot CD went."I declared loudly and I watched as Ang smiled a little.I knew she was remembering when she had gotten me the CD for my birthday after she had broken my last one.

She turned to look at me with a smile on her face.I smiled back at her but her smile faded a little when she glanced at A.J. and she quickly turned around and looked out her window.I glanced at A.J. who looked up at me and smiled a little.I smiled back as I leaned over and kissed her.

When we got to the airport A.J. and I waited in the car while the others went in to get Jenna and Becka.

"I don't like the way Angela looks at you."A.J. said as she looked ahead of us.

"What do you mean the way she looks at me?"I asked raising my eyebrow"Where just friends A.J."

"You can't tell me you don't see it."She said softly as she looked at me.

I shook my head a little.

"Let's just not talk about it ok."I said softly"I'm with you and nothings going to change that."
~Angela's POV~

When we had gotten to the airport I decided to go in with Kevin and Nick because I didn't want to stay in the car with Joe and A.J. it was just to akward for me.As soon as we got to where we were suppsoed to meet there girlfriends I sat down with a little sigh.

"Kevin!"I heard someone yell and I looked up to see a girl running towards us.She was about 5'2" with wavy brown hair.I watched as she ran to Kevin and jumped into his arms as he spun her around before kissing her with a small smile.

"Hey Jenna."He said as he sat her down before he interlaced his fingers with hers"There's someone I want you to meet."

"Ok."She said with a smile as he walked towards me I quickly stood up.

"Jenna this is Joe's friend Angela."He said smiling"Ang,this is my girlfriend Jenna."

"Nice to meet you."I said holding my hand out.

"So your Joe's Angela."She said smiling as she shook my hand,I blushed a little because she had called me Joe's"It's nice to finally meet you."

I smiled and nodded my head.

"Um where's Nick?"I asked realizing that he wasn't with us anymore.

Kevin looked around before he laughed a little and pointed.Nick was a few feet away kissing a girl.I small smile came to my lips as Nick pulled away from her.We all quickly looked away and pretended we didn't see anything as he came walking over.

"Becka this is Angela."Nick said once they had gotten over to us"Ang this is Becka."

"So your Joe's Angela."She said with a little smile as she shook my hand"It's nice to meet you."

Why does everyone keep calling me that I'm his best friend not his girlfriend.

"You too."I said with a smile.

"We better get back out to the car."Kevin finally said"Joe and A.J. are out there by themselves."

I nodded as we all headed for the door.

Becka and I hit it off well as we sat there in the car talking.Jenna took the front seat so it was A.J. and Joe in the middle seat and then Nick,Becka and I sat in behind them.Joe and I still hadn't talked with each other and he would glanced back at me every now and then.

Mrs.Jonas called while we were driving back and she wanted the guys to come home as soon as they could.They invited me to go but I wanted to get home.It was akward being around them when they were with their girlfriends while my boyfriend was probably at home.They dropped me off at home and I headed in and up to my room where I changed my clothes and then came back down to fix myself something to eat.Jeremy called while I was making myself something to eat and I talked with him for an hour before we hung up.After that I was left alone to think about what had acctually happened between Joe and I that morning.

It was midnight before I got to bed and as I laid there I couldn't get to sleep.I jumped up when I heard a noise coming from the window.I quickly got up and turned the light on only to see Joe there tapping on the window.I shook my head laughing a little before I slowly opened it.

"Joe what are you doing here?"I said as I helped him get into the room"And why didn't you use the door?"

"I hated that you were mad at me."Joe said as he looked at me"I didn't use the door because I didn't want to wake your parents up."
I laughed a little and shook my head.Joe was that way when we were younger too he always hated when I would leave mad at him.

"My parents aren't home."I said softly as I walked over to the bed and sat down.

"Then where are they?"He asked as he watched me.

"They went on a month long trip."I said with a little shrug"They didn't tell me where they were going."

"Oh."He said as he nodded his head"Listen I'm sorry that I blew up with you about the whole you have a boyfriend thing."

"Don't worry about it Joe."I said softly as I bit my lip"I'm sorry what I said about you and A.J."

He nodded his head as he sat down next to me.

"I'm glad we worked that out."He said with a little smile as he looked at me"Cause I can't live without you Ang."

I smiled at him my heart beating faster as he took my hand in his.

"Did you tell anyone you were coming here?"I asked as I looked back at him.

He shook his head a little.

"I waited till everyone was asleep."He said with a little shrug.

I small smile came to my lips.

"Your twenty years old and your still sneaking out of the house."I said softly shaking my head as I laughed a little.

"It wasn't my parents I was worried about."He said with a little shrug"It was A.J. I didn't want to have to go through the whole can't I come with you thing."

I sighed as I looked away from him.

"Your afraid she'll get mad at you aren't you?"I asked.

"Well yeah."He said softly with a little sigh"Could we just not talk about because I don't want to fight anymore."

"Ok."I said yawning a little as I slowly pulled the covers over me and laid down.

"Well looks like your tired so I better go."He said as he started to get up.

"No."I said grabbing his hand"Stay till I go to sleep please."

"Ok but as soon as you fall asleep I'm leaving."He said with a little smile as he got under the covers with me.

I smiled as I slowly closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.
