Welcome to this fanfiction written by Meg and me Vanna =D enjoy!:
Darkness, like an empty room. Emptiness was what I felt. I then opened my eyes. Light, something so bright my eyes felt like they might explode. Green is what I then saw. Green on the bottom and blue on the top with wispy streaks of white
Alone, which was what I, felt. Nothing else was in sight but green and blue with some white. Unfamiliarity that was what it was. Not knowing where I was, but more importantly not knowing who I was.
"Who am I?" I asked aloud. I jumped back, frightened at the sound.
Words, they tickled my tongue. Where did they come from? Who did they come from?
I then looked down at myself. Bright colors seemed to stare back, my outfit was like a sea of rainbows with reds, blues, pinks, purples, and many other colors that made her head spin.
"Holly-stir." I read, more words! They were exciting and interesting; they added something to my empty head.
I glanced out over the empty field where she heard a noise. Over the hill was a city. A city that had changed forever. I slowly began to place one foot in front of the other, taking baby steps, until I finally reached the gates. Slowly dragging along inside of them I found herself staring up at tall buildings, as people busily pushed past her. Where was I? And who was I? I continued to wander the dark damp streets as I searched for an answer, but nothing helped. People were dirty and selling items I had never seen before. Or atleast I think I hadn't.. There was a group of people fighting, screams and crying echoed throughout this city. Blank, cold stares were thrown at me, probably wondering why this strange girl was dressed so bright and so confused. I wandered the streets, until this rude boy boy dressed in rags on a bike zoomed passed me, knocking me right to the ground. A plump man in a uniform walked up to me extending his arm. "Get up" he told me as I grabbed his hand. "Follow me."
I wasn’t sure who he was or where I was going, but I was hoping to find some answers. He led the me through a pathway up, down, left, and right; plus at this brisk pace I began to lose sight of direction and my head started to spin like a merry-go-round.
When I finally felt leveled the questions hit me like a tidal wave. Where am I? Where am I going? Who am I going with? WHO IS THIS GUY? Who am I? Then like a light flickering on in my head, as if an alarm was signaled and it hit me fast and hard. Who is this guy? Where is he taking me? Is he safe? I started to panic; fear fell on me like rain each second I was showered with more fear of this mysterious man. Not knowing what to do I just stopped. He then frowned and tugged on my arm, asking me to continue on forward.
"Who are you? Where are you taking me?" I asked trying to sound as brave as possible, but it didn't sound quite as convincing as it did in my mind. I was worried what he might do next, frightening scenario's raced through my mind. Then he spoke, cutting off my frightening thoughts and said, "My name is Robert Hopkins, and I am a Officer of the Royal Guard in Romania. Where you are currently is the outskirts of the city, and judging by your apparel and accent you defiantly do not belong with the scum here." He spoke in a haughty tone, emphasizing the word scum.
"Now, what are you doing here? A fair face like yours wouldn't last a night here without getting robbed or worse." He asked, his tone made me blush. I felt as if I had done something very naughty and he was punishing me for it.
"I-I don’t know." I stuttered suddenly, starting to wonder in the world I even stopped in the first place.
"I have no tolerance for games missy, maybe a few days in the clink will clear your head. I should’ve known you would be like this proletariat here!" The Officer replied quite sternly.
’Oh Christopher Columbus! Now look what I have done!’ I thought, I sure didn't know what a 'clink' is but it sounded just awful!
"No sir, please let go of me! I promise I haven’t stolen a thing! I will even go home to my mother!" I said in a fake sincere voice while struggling to be released from his grasp. I didn’t know if I had a mother or not, but I would’ve said anything to be able to get away from this haughty officer!
I then stomped on the man’s foot. Causing him to howl with pain and weaken his grip on my arm. It was enough for me to be able to wiggle out of his grasp. I then ran like the wind up and down and all around. My bare feet ached from the sharp rocks I ran on top of. I didn’t dare look back for fear of seeing the Officer right behind me.
I then turned down this street a found it was a dead end; there was only a door. Not even pausing for a second I opened the door then gasped in awe of what was before me. People, tons of people! But unlike the group of people I had seen earlier this person seemed happier here there was joking and laughter. They weren’t in rags but in colorful garments like my own. There were people in booths selling colorful foods. Food! My stomach growled with hunger.
Oh, I felt as if I had never eaten in my life!Or atleast what I remembered.... Which wasn't much.
Pushing past the people I made a beeline to the booth with these colorful fruits.
"Well howdy there darling, how’re ya’ll doing?" The vender asked in a funky accent.
"Uh, good sir. Might I have a piece of your food?" The I asked meekly.
"Ain’t you adorable! For you only one shecklen for this fine fruit!" He said kindly with that funky accent, and a big smile.
Shecklen? Oh yes money, the thing I would need to get her food. I knew what money was. The only problem is I didn’t have any.
"Money… About that you see, I am sort of broke the moment. Could I just have one small piece for fruit?" I asked kindly.
The venders face darkened, he then frowned at her and replied harshly, "What do you think I am? Some sort of charity? You either pay or get out of here!"
My face fell, I was so hungry; if I didn’t eat I felt like I just might shrink away into something filled with nothingness.
All of the sudden another girl came up right behind the me and yelled at the vender,
"How rude! This poor girl is near starving and your going to through her on the streets? Tsk tsk! I can’t have that!" This strange girl then grabbed the two largest pieces of fruit, handed one to me, then took my hand, and ran off.
I could hear the weird vender yelling at the me to stop and all sorts of dirty things I would rather not repeat.
Once again I was put with someone I didn't know, or atleast I think I don't know her.
Who was this girl? Once again I was with someone who I didn't know, atleast this girl provided food so she couldn't be totally awful.
I really need to break this habit of following strangers, or atleast strange strangers. What was I getting myself into?
Ohhhhh, what has she gotten herself into?
I guess you'll just have to wait and find out =D
