It began when they randomly bumped into each other on the street. Her name was Katie, and she never believed in “love at first sight”, at least until someone proved it to her. His name was Nick, and he was the one that proved it. They were 16 at the time. A year later, now both 17, they’re still going strong. Katie’s your typical teenage girl, Nick however, isn’t very “typical”. when they first met, Nick and his brothers had just released an album he and his brothers recorded. They had a record deal and everything. But Katie fell in love before she knew all that. Unfortunately, a record deal and sold out albums leads to year long tours…
She always tried to stay strong for him, she really did. Knowing all his insecurities, she had to. For some strange reason, Nick always felt that if he was constantly leaving, Katie would need attention that he wouldn’t be able to give her.
The day has come, they’re leaving again. This is it, another 10 months without seeing his face everyday, or whenever she wanted. “I love you, with all my heart, and I’ll miss you like crazy.” he whispered into her ear while holding her in a hug. “I’ll miss you so much.” she said with a tight grasp around his shirt. Holding on tight, fighting back tears. “remember to look up at the starry night sky, and when you do, just know I’m looking at it too, where ever I may be, and I’ll be thinking of you.” Nick said while resting his chin on the top of her head. “I love you” was all she said in response. “ I love you too, forever and ever babe.”
Katie stood there on the side walk, raindrops just beginning to fall. she crosses her arms pulling her hood up over her head, watching as the boy she loves boards the bus that he’ll be on for 10 months. Nick glares at Katie from the window by his bunk, putting on a slight smile, and waves a bit. The bus begins to pull away, Nick still waving. Katie continues to wave back, and blows a kiss. Unable to hold it in any longer, she starts crying uncontrollably just as the bus turns the corner.
