You Got It Beautiful
She was short, she admitted that and more than anything she hated standing next to her costars on a red carpet seeing as she is barely over 5 feet tall and they are all almost, in not past, six feet tall. With a plastered smile she stood in between two of the boys her arms wrapped around their waists and their arms on her back. After one particularly depressed sounding sigh the oldest of the boys lifts her into the air causing a shriek to escape her mouth. She smiles hugging him tightly, a real smile this time, she does love the boy to death.
“So what’s wrong beautiful,” he whispers into her ear still holding her up in the air?
“I hate being short.”
Her words cause his to break into a fit of laughter that almost ends with both of them on the ground. Luckily though his brothers were there to catch them before they fell.
“I’m serious.”
“I know Kerianne. But I like it your fun sized.”
The look that she shot him right then caused him to laugh again this time so loud that almost everyone stops and looks at them. She flushes a horrible shade of red and hits his arm as hard as she can silently scowling him. They manage to make it inside without any more incidents and once there they have to give a few interviews.
“So Kerianne what was it like working with the Jonas Brothers.”
“Like working with trees. And I don’t mean it in the emotionless stupid or like motionless way. I mean it in the I’m a foot shorter than them way and I have to always crank my neck to see them.”
“Okay? Joe did you guys have fun with one another on set?”
“Oh yea we had parties and hung out, basically we were one big family, like seriously we adopted her into our family the second day probably. And we had a big sleepover in our cabin, we still hang out actually cause we are all on break which is pretty nice.”
“Now Kerianne in the movie your character falls for Nick’s character is there anything going on there.”
She laughs slightly and looks at the younger boy who is blushing a shade of red she had never seen before.
“Um no. See the thing is I’m 20 and Nick is 15 and even as cute as he is I’m not a pedophile so that isn’t happening. I mean you should have seen us trying to do the love scenes cause like every time I had to hug him I was like um I don’t want to touch him and go to jail. And they thought I was kidding at first. I mean I look like 15 but I’m not and when they realized that I got teased. Joseph pulled the best trick on me about it though.”
“Did he really well Joe what trick did you pull on her?”
“It was the day that they were filming the main romantic scene of the movie and she had gone early to talk to like Nick or Kevin or somebody and I went into like her ‘dressing room’ which was really just her cabin and I plastered pictures of Nick all over the wall. When she saw them she screamed bloody murder.”
“She was talking to me, asking if I had any advice for the scene cause she had never gotten romantic with someone five years younger than her. And she knew that I had done that scene with Alex.”
“I’m sorry that I needed to not feel like a complete and total pedophile.”
“Which is clearly why you love Frankie more than the rest of us.”
“Shut up.”
Kerianne looks up at Kevin her blue eyes pleading and he laughs wrapping his arm around her in a tight hug.
“Guys be nice to her you know how sensitive she is,” Kevin says with a laugh.
“I hate you all it’s official.”
“Liar we all know you love Kevin.”
Kevin and Kerianne both turn really fast to look at Joe who just said that. They weren’t trying to let the whole world know that they were in a relationship, they had been for a while, and Joe was sitting there basically spilling the beans completely.
“So wait Kevin, Kerianne is there something going on between the two of you that we need to know about?”
“Can I stick with no comment…”
“No comment.”
“Okay now this is the first feature film for any of you how does it feel?”
“Amazing. It seems like just yesterday I was giving out coffee in Starbucks and yet here I am at the premier of my movie. I’m totally in shock still.”
“It’s cool. I mean we’ve done a Disney movie, we’ve done concerts and shows it’s getting to be no big deal. It’s just another show. But it still feels great.”
“Yea you guys must be feeling it.”
“Feeling what?”
“The age rushing into your body. Pretty soon you’ll be old and no one will like you.”
Joe and Nick both send her looks as Kevin chuckles and the reporter looks shocked.
“I was kidding. Um come on guys it’s about to start.”
At that comment they all say our goodbyes and walk away. As soon as they are out of ear and eye shot though she lets loose on Joe.
“Joe I know this might be hard for you to understand but we are trying to keep me and Kevin out of the papers so you shouldn’t have brought it up? Are you crazy now it’s going to be everywhere about us. How insane can you be to do something like that?”
“Calm down you could have easily denied it.”
“We know I hate lying and you still do that to me.”
Kerianne storms off then causing all three boys to sigh and Joe starts after her only to be stopped by Kevin who smiled slightly.
“I got it.”
He followed the short blond haired girl to the front of the theater and wrapped her into a tight hug looking down at her.
“Joe was just being Joe and you know it now be nice.”
“Or what you’ll break up with me?”
“Never Keri. But just let it go. Joe can’t help if he was dropped on his head as a baby.”
“I thought you were kidding.”
Kerianne’s eyes go wide as she thinks back to the conversation she had with Kevin one day about why Joe was the way he is.
“I was Keri. Come on movies about to start let’s go pelt Joe and Nick with popcorn.”
“You knew.”
Kerianne laughs as she grins widely and looks up at the boy who she has fallen for so quickly.
“Does love happen this fast Kevin?”
“I don’t know. I’ve never had it happen this fast before but I’m sure it can. I mean Stephani,” Nick’s best friend, “her mom married her step dad after a month of dating so I guess so. But I do know I love you.”
“I love you too.”
She wants to kiss him so badly but she knows that if she does there will be drama. She doesn’t want that famous relationship she wants to at least have something real before they go public. Which is why for basically every date they have been on his brothers have come along. Now she does admit they will bring girls too most likely Stephani and Alex and they often kept to themselves but it wasn’t the dame.
“Kevin I want a real date.”
“Tomorrow, today whenever you want whatever you want.”
With the biggest grin she could possibly have, she stood on her tip-toes and leaned to whisper in his ear.
“I want you for the rest of our lives.”
“You got it beautiful.”
