She laced her hot pink shoe laces and looked in the mirror one last time, her outfit spoke true to her, a pair of skinny jeans a bright colored t-shirt and a pair of black converses with hot pink shoe laces. It was only slightly strange to her that she dressed a lot like the members of her favorite band but then again it didn’t really matter, they were all gorgeous beyond belief and had amazing fashion sense.

She stepped out the front door of her new apartment and looked around, there was only one other person in the hallway a brunette girl who was deeply tan and smiling widely. They knew each other well and had become best friend after the blond moved there.

"Hey Renee what are you doing today?"

"Just going out like usual."

"Okay well I’ll see you tonight."

Renee waved good bye and continued on her walk outside. Smelling the air she sighed a little, she missed the nice Australian air. She starts to walk around, knowing that she’ll enjoy that more than taking a cab around the town or driving herself. Spotting her favorite store she walks inside and starts to look everything over.

As soon as she finds something she likes a boy reaches his hand over and grabs one just like it causing her to frown.

"Hey what do you think of this shirt on me?"

Her eyes travel up and she smiles spotting him. He was gorgeous with shoulder length straight black hair and these brown eyes almost the same color as chocolate. He was holding up a bright pink graphic t and she looks him over a little better. She couldn’t deny it with the tan color of his skin and the color of his other features that shirt looked stunning on him.
"It makes you look fit."

His eyes sparkle and she chuckles slightly.

"Your Australian."

"That I am."

"I love people with accents."

"Well I do have an accent."

"So you want to go out to dinner tonight."

"On one condition."

"Which is?"

"My best friend comes too and maybe one of your friend. I promised her that we would hang out tonight, first time in a while you know."

"Alright. Wait how old is your friend. Wait how old are you?"

"I’m 18… She is almost twenty."

"Then I have the perfect person."

"Cool."
He writes something down on a piece of paper and hands it over to her. She looks down at the paper and her eyes hold a laughter that she can’t hold in. He looks at her funny and she shakes her head.

"Who writes their number on paper still?"

"Me."

"I got that Joe. I’ll see you later. I’m Renee by the way."
"Bye Renee."
She leaves the store and hurriedly calls the brunette girl from before. When the girl picks up Renee squeals causing the other girl to hold the phone away from her ear.

"We have dates tonight."

"Excuse me?"
"Come on you know you want to go out with a cute boy."
"Have you seen him?"

"Well no."
"So you don’t really know if he’s cute. Great."

"I promise he is cute… Oh I never asked what time. I guess I should call Joe. Well I’ll come get you in a bit."
"Alright. Bye."

Renee hangs up the phone and dials Joe’s number waiting as his phone starts to play music back at her. She starts to dance as she listens to his phone singing the words along. But suddenly they stop and she doesn’t. After a minute she realizes that the phone isn’t playing music anymore and she lets out a laugh.

"Hey."

"Joe?"

"Yea."

"It’s Renee. I just realized that we never set a time. So when would you like to meet us and where?"
"How about we pick you up at your place at 6:30 sound good?"

"Then you need my address."

"Yea I do."

Renee smiles widely and tells Joe her address knowing that she only has two hours to get ready, after a full day of shopping. She hurries back to her place and pulls Stephani over to her apartment so that the two girls can get ready together. Stephani ends up in a turquoise dress with multicolored accents, and Renee ends up in a pair of bright blue leggings and a black dress. Looking at the clock causes Renee to start to panic.

"Oh man ten minutes."

"Renee calm down."

"But ten minutes."

"Renee stop freaking out. It’ll be fine."

"Okay."

Ten minutes later there is a knock on the door and Renee really starts to freak out. Stephani starts to laugh and pulls open Renee’s door only to smile spotting the boys.

"Wow they are fit."

"Exactly."

"Hi I’m Joe this is my brother Kevin."

"Hey I’m Renee and this is Stephani."

"Joe wasn’t kidding when he said he met a cute Aussie girl."

"No he wasn’t. I am the Aussie girl. So where are we going tonight boys."

"That’s a bit of a surprise."
"Okay…"

The boys and girls walk downstairs and out to a jeep. Joe and Renee get in the back of the car while, Stephani and Kevin sit up front.

"This is for you."

Joe produces a rose and Renee smiles widely.
"That’s so sweet."

Joe grins wider than she had and when they arrive the girls both go awe. Kevin and Joe planned a picnic on a hill where they could see the sunset perfectly.

"You’ve thought of everything haven’t you."

"Maybe."

The girls sit down on the hill and so do the boys, only for Joe to get up and run back to Kevin’s jeep and grab a boom box. He presses play and some of the most romantic songs in the world start to play.

"You’ve thought of everything."
Renee leans over and kisses Joe on the cheek smiling widely. Soon they forget that they are not alone and both go to their normal crazy and kooky selves. Without warning Stephani and Kevin leave the pair where they are and the pair slowly cuddle closer to one another watching the stars shine bright in the sky.

"Joe why me?"

"Your stunning, funny, a great person to be around, you remind me a lot of me and what can I say I like you. So why me Renee why me why not someone else?"

"Your fit, you make me laugh, and you are so romantic I love it. Plus your style pretty much rocks."

"I like your too. Nice leggings."

"Thanks. They were Stephani’s idea she has a thing about bright colors."

"And you don’t. Remember I saw you shopping today."

"Okay I do love bright colors too. So Joe did you know that the average life span of an umbrella is under two years."

"No I did not."

"Well it’s true you know."

"Cool."

Joe looks at the blond girl and kisses her forehead a little smile on his face. She snuggles closer to him and they sit there spending the night talking and getting to know one another a lot better. When the sun starts to rise they look at one another shocked. They spent almost a full twelve hours together and didn’t want to leave ever again. Sadly they separate, knowing that they both had jobs to do and agree to meet again that night. Soon it becomes their thing, meeting every single night and talking for as long as they can.

"Renee I can’t keep doing this?"

"What are you talking about Joe?"

"Renee I love you. I can’t keep doing this with you. I can’t spend four hours with you every night and then not see you again until the next day. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

"I love you too Joe. What are you saying?"

"I’m asking not saying. Will you marry me?"

Renee looks shocked at Joe and smiles widely nodding her head.

"Of course I will you’re my American boy."

"I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you Aussie girl."
