Kati stands by the punch bowl.It's prom night and her date stood her up, but she cam anyways. She's just minding her own business, and listening to the music while watching eveyone else have fun.This is the worst prom night in the history of prom nights.She thinks to herself. She stands up against the wall. All her friends have dates and are dancing. The cheerleaders are making a lot of noise and getting on Kati's nerves, but then again, when do they not get on her nerves? She spots a boy from across the room. He's tall, about 5'7", and has long, curly black hair that almost covers his hazel eyes. Another song begins playing. 
What day is it? And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive
Kati automatically recognizes the song. It was You and Me by Lifehouse.
I can't keep up and I can't back down
I've been losing so much time.
She takes her eyes off of the boy for a split second and then he's gone. Her fake smile turns into a frown. 
Cause it's you and me
And all other people
She feels someone tap her shoulder. Kati turns around. It's the boy she saw from across the room.
With nothing to do, nothing to lose
"Hi." he says.
"Hey." She replies casually.
"You look lonely. Why aren't you dancing?"
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you.
"I have no date. He stood me up."
"Would you like to dance with me?"
"Sure."
"By the way, I'm Nick."
"Kati." He holds his hand out to her. She grabs it gently and they walk out to the dance floor and begin slow dancing.
What are the things that I want to say
That just aren't coming out right
"So, you from around here?" 
"I go to school here."
"My band's here on thier tour and I thought I'd drop by."
"I knew I recognized those eyes."
"What do you mean?"
"You're one of the Jonas Brothers."
"Is that a problem?"
"not at all."

Kati kisses his lips gently. The night seemed to never end.

this happens alot. ill have a song stuck in my head and then ill write a oneshot about it.
