Chapter 2
we were a block away from my house, and i tried telling him he could just drop me off, but he insisted on turning down my crappy. " Nick, you really can just." i tried pleading. " whats the number.. 163?" he asked with a smile on him face. " yeah" i said shyly and sank in my seat. when we got there, no one was home, and it was pretty obvious to anyone who looked at my house. " no ones home?" he asked putting the car in park. " guess not" i answered reaching for my seat belt. he stopped me and put the car in drive " its friday night, your not going to stay home alone." "nick, i could find something to do..." i tried saying. " nope, your hanging out with me, we'll order pizza and watch a movie." he said while turning the corner to go to the block behind mine. we pulled into his wrap around driveway. and got out of his car. "are you sure. you dont have plans or anything?" i asked. " Bianca, trust me, its fine, i want to hang out with you.. remember?" he said unlocking the door. "right" i said, to myself. we walked into this huge house! i was caught up staring up into the huge staircase when a little guy ran passed me, stepping on my flat. "whoa, what was that." i ask grabbing nick's arm, totally not realizing. " oh, sorry about that. Tank! come over here." a little kid about 6 or 7 came running over and stopped infront of us doing some sort of ninja move. " Frank, meet Bianca, Bianca, my little brother Frank." "very nice to meet you Frankie." i said kneeling down and shaking his small hand. he smile and then ran away. next, came 2 older boys, definitly older then us. one with straight hair, the other with curly. "brothers of mine, meet Bianca. Bianca, my borthers, kevin. and joe." "whats goin on guys." i said casually. " whats goin on they said in unison. "so what are you guys up to?" Kevin asked. " nothing realy." I said. " just going to watch a movie, maybe order pizza" nick finished. "Cool cool, you guys can have the basment, we'll go in the den." Joe said as they turned to walk away. "your family is way nice." i said following nick into the kitchen, then talking a seat on the stool. "thanks, we're really close." he said flipping through menus. "looks it, i'm jealous haha." "haha, well, tell me about your family." he said. my whole demeaner changed. " uhm, i'd rather not." i said playing with the paper that sat on the table. " come on, please, it might do you some good if you talk it out." he said. " but, i dont want to force you or anything." he added. he picked up the phone and dialed, "is cheese alright?" "thats fine" " hey, order to be delievered, small cheese pie, last names jonas...yes. as in the Jonas brothers. okay thanks, bye." i looked at him with a confused look. "jonas brothers?" "uhh, yeah... another reason why my familys so close, we're like a business. haha. me joe and kevin are in a band, called the jonas brother, naturally, we just finished up our headlining tour." i sat back in awe. " dude i thought you guys were just like, a local band who played gigs at bowling allies." " nope, we play more like.. sold out arenas. ahha." we both laughed and then i knew he was gonna drop the f bomb again. " so, come sit on the couch with me, and talk to me. please." he said reaching his hand out. i grabbed it and followed him into the basement. we took a seat on the couch. i took a deep breath and began. " i live with my grandma, my grandfather died 2 years ago. they raised me since i was 12. my parented f`d up, i was the only child. i dont know where they are, theyre dead to me. i know its horrible to say, but i have no good memories with them" i looked up to nicks concerned face. " they... i... they hit me for no reason, i never did anything wrong. they took my birthday money and bought drugs and alcohol with it, so then i got into drugs and alcohol. finally, my grandparents gained custody of me, but i still partied all the time. and now... now i just wanna fix my life, get it back. for my grandma's sake. she puts up with me, and i take advantage of that. im all she has left." i finally finished. tears streaming down my face. and nick, nick didnt judge me, didnt say anything like, yeah you better. he just held me and let me cry. was this all i needed? as someone other the family to care? "i'm going to be here for you B. whatever you need, you ask. we"ll get it right. we'll fix you up. please your grandma, please yourself."
