Chapter: eleven (Emily's Point of View)
The limo pulled up to a building and stopped. Ben got out and opened the door for me, Kelsey, and Sam to get out.
“Welcome to Ralph Jenson’s office.” Ben said pointing at the building. “Here is where you girls will pick out what to wear. I promise you that you will find something you like, considering how much there is to choose from.”
All four of us went into Ralph’s office. I looked around. It was a nice place. It was colorful and seemed very modern.
“So,” Sam said looking at Ben. “Where are the clothes?”
Ben smiled and answered her, “Right ova here.” He walked past the first door that was right behind where we were standing and opened the next door down. There were racks and racks of dresses and tables covered with accessories and shoes.
“Wow.” Sam, Kelsey and I all said at the same time. Sam ran over to a rack filled with blue and green dresses and started looking through them. Kelsey went over to the one with all of the dresses with glitter. I just looked around not moving. There was so much here to choose from. Then, I spotted a rack with red dresses on it remembering what Laurie had told me. As I walked over to it, a tall man walked in the room and went over to Ben.
“Hey, Ralph.” I heard Ben say to him. I stopped walking and listened to them.
“Hey, Ben.” Ralph started and then looked out the door behind him. “Can you do me a favor?”
“Sure, what is it?” Ben asked him.
“Well Kevin, Joe and Nick are in the other room.” He said quietly, trying not to let me or the other girls hear, even though I did. “Don’t let these girls out of the room before checking with me. I don’t want them to see the boys until tomorrow, got it?” My heart was beating fast. Nick, Joe and Kevin were here? They were in the other room? Behind that wall was the boy of my dreams. I couldn’t believe it. The whole reality was beginning to sink in. I was really going to be Nick Jonas’s date. It really is happening.
“Got it.” Ben said. Ralph left the room and Ben went over and sat down, waiting for us to finish.
I looked at the many red dresses on the rack and smiled. This was real.
