Memories of you and me

She could feel the tears forming in her eyes as she watched it happen. He was walking across the stage in a much different way than he ever had before. Before it was all for show, his job but this time it was a little way of rewarding him. It was amazing seeing his thousand watt smile looking down at her. She couldn’t believe her luck, to be dating him, one of the most popular boys in the world. And she also couldn’t believe that they were both graduating, after four years of traveling, fighting and a lot of other things finally they were graduating. She hadn’t walked across the stage yet but seeing him do just that caused the tears to start to fall. And she had to remember the first time she cried around him.

Her eyes were filled with hope, until she realized that she was last in the long line. They sold out before she got her copy of the CD she was hoping to get. She was alone in the store, seeing as it was just after midnight, and as her sobs rang out in the store she could hear the approaching footsteps. She expected it to be some snobby clerk who just wanted to get out of the store, and she was stopping them from doing that. But the voice that spoke shocked the hell out of her and as her eyes turned upward she let more tears fall down. Spotting the familiar, clothing, hairstyle, face and family she almost stopped breathing, and when he handed her a copy of the CD with his name and number scrawled on it. She swore she was dreaming. But she wasn’t.

He walked down the stairs and caught her eye sending her a very silly smile, something he had reserved for her from the moment that they had met. She still remembered the first real smile he had shown her and the first silly smile he sent, she even remembered how she forgot to breath a little bit.
He was back in town, only for a few shows but he was back and that was all that mattered. Spotting her his face lit up like it never had before and as she approached he broke into a grin. It was the first time she had really seen the boy smile and it was exciting. Seconds later the smile changed into a silly half smile with wide eyes and a wrinkled up nose. The silly smile that she grew to love. Spotting it she almost stopped breathing, and only when his brother pulled her into a hug did she remember to, but only because his grip was horribly crushing, making it hard for her to do much but breath.
She made her way to the same stairs that he had just climbed and let out a shaky breath as she walked up them. Hearing her name being called infront of at least a thousand people, hearing the clapping as she walked across the stage, hearing the cheers from her family and friends, all brought her back to the first concert she had attended. It was one of his and his brothers, and as soon as they walked onto the stage, the girls all screamed, cheered, yelled their names just like it was happening for her.
“NICK!” “JOE!” “KEVIN!” the screams came from every direction as girls cheered, clapped, screamed and the boys walked onto the stage. She had been a fan of them for years, and other great musicians before them, but their concert was the first one she was going to, and the only reason was because he had invited her to come, said he wanted her to see him in his element. He had flashed her his silly little grin when he spotted her in her second row seat and she smiled right back her eyes dancing, as her body did the same.
She walked back to her seat, and stood proudly, one row and two seats over from where he was sitting, her eyes dancing as she urged to do the same thing. She was tempted to just break into random dance, but feared what would happen if she had, would they get mad at her? Would they take away what she had worked so hard for? So she stood still and her mind drifted back to the last time she was forced to try the feat.
“Okay just stand here, really still and count til ten okay? And by the time you have counted to ten without moving any thing other than your gorgeous lips I’ll be right back.” She nodded and watched as he walked off trying to accomplish just what he had told her to do, the first time she was trying to use her fingers to count. the second time she started to dance around on the balls of her feet. The third time she started to hum one of his songs, getting looks from everyone around her. And as she started for the forth time he returned and let out a little laugh before talking. “You never made it to ten did you?” She blushes and shakes her head furiously as he continues to laugh before pulling her into his body in a loving hug.
It only took her seconds to realize she was nodding her head and dancing around while the other kids in her row laughed at her. But he was looking backwards a little smile on his face, he was used to her. Soon the ceremony is over and they exit together his arm wrapped around her in a tight hug, They walk into the day, the bright light causing both to turn away. Thinking no one is looking they share a kiss that is at first soft, before his tongure manages to find it’s way next to her own as their mouths join in what seems to be a unbreakable bond.
“Woah young impressionable minds here.”
She flushes red realizing that once again his family had caught them mid face swallowing session. Yes that was not the first time. No the first time was a bit more interesting.
She was nervous, they were alone for the first time really, and she knew that he liked her, she liked him back she had made that obvious the night before when she had forcefully kissed him, in front of his brothers earning cat calls from them. They were in the backroom of the bus and it was awkward to say the least. Finally she let out a sigh and stood up to leave the room, she had almost made it to the door when his hand reached out grabbing her wrist and pulling her down onto his lap. The surprised squeak that emerged her mouth was soon muffled as his mouth found hers in a hungry kiss. Soon she was on her back on the couch, as he rest his arms over her, her arms around his neck, her legs locked around his back and his shirt half off. If his brothers hadn’t walked into the backroom then, who knows what would have happened.
She reaches her hand up and messes up his perfect hair with a little laugh as his mom takes a picture, but he just shakes the hair back into place. Before placing a kiss on her lips again and muttering how they would continue their ‘conversation’ when they were alone.
