Okay here is an update of sorts, it's not the best, but it was all I had.

Ch 4
Jonas to Leave
AP: CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA
Kevin Jonas, driver of the number 80 Wal-Mart Dodge is now a free agent. It was announced last week that super star Jonas is on his way out the door at CP Motor Sports. Jonas will finish the year in his ride, before looking for a new car to pilot next season.
Reading the headlines on the website in front of her, Nicole Detwiler continued to read the article in front of her.
Along with moving teams, Jonas will take his crew chief, younger brother Joesph to his new team - where ever that ends up being - along with Joesph, several other team members will be cut from CP Motor Sports when their former star driver makes his move.
Nicole would never understand the world of Nascar. Yes, it was how she made her living, but it was still forgien to her. Saving the article onto her lap top, she smiled to herself, pleased. What were the odds of this happening?
As Senior Public Relations manager to Livingstone Racing, Nicole prided herself on doing a job well done. Her former boss, Abe Livingstone had been convinced she was one of the best, his daughter Lael couldn't agree more. Making a mental note to show Lael the article a little later on, Nicole closed her computer.

"So it's official." Trista stated letting a paper fall in front of Kevin, the head line announcing his departure. "All you have to do, is stand up on Friday before practice and make it more than a rumor."
"Yeah I guess." Kevin said with a heavy sigh.
He knew the announcement was going out, but he hadn't expected it to be so soon, nor did he expect it to be this disappointing. Since Kevin had started in Nascar, he had been with CP Motor Sports and the idea of being with another team was starting to scare him. As much as he hated Chris Pacer lately, Kevin was thankful he had agreed to let Joe go as well.
Going to a new team with Joe on his heels made Kevin feel a little better. He had made it very clear, that where ever he went to race next season, Joe was going to be his crew chief. Most team owners would respect that wish, if they wanted Kevin bad enough. If not, then Kevin just wouldn't sign their contract it was that simple.
"Are you going to be alright with this?" Trista asked, her warm, Australian accent catching Kevin's attention. "if you don't want to, then we can..."
"No, I have to face the music, I might as well do it." Kevin replied. His least favourite part of racing was always the media side. He was there to drive a car, not be a performing monkey for news reporters. "Friday...Friday is fine. If you can just let Joe know that it's Friday, we'll be fine to go."
"Okay, I can call him after lunch." Trista said with a small smile. "In the mean time, I need to work on releases, if you need me you know where to find me." she said taking off, leaving Kevin alone in his thoughts.
Kevin needed to get away from CP Motor Sports, he had been saying it for years, now that the time had finally come, Kevin had no idea what to do or where to go. The idea of starting his own team had been entertaining, fictional but entertaining the same. What if he didn't find a new team before next season? What if no other team owner wanted him? Sitting out a season wasn't what Kevin wanted. He was a race car driver, more than anything he wanted to drive and race. A driver coulsn't race without a car, which meant Kevin had to find a car and fast.
