Chapter 06

Allie's P.O.V.
I knew that I couldn't put this off any longer. I had to tell mom and dad. It's just too wierd. How can my mom and I be both having babies? The thought of it makes me want to cry. Actually it has made me cry. I made my way downstairs to where I found my mom and dad fighting again. No suprise. I heard something about me and that made me listen even more.
I walked into the kitchen at the right time. Dad picked up his suitcase and opened the door to leave.
"Dad! Where you going?" I asked walking to him.
"I'm going to Colorado to visit my friend Tim for a couple days. I'll be back on Monday." I knew he was lying. I'm not stupid.
By that time Mom left the room. "Really. Where are you going?" I said.
"I told you. I'm going to Colorado. See you in a few days." Dad said as he wrapped me in a hug and kissed my forehead. He grabbed his suitcase and tried leaving until I stopped him.
"How can you leave Mom and I?" I said almost in tears.
"Baby. I'm coming back."
"I'm 17. Not 7. I know when someone is lying to me. You're not coming back." Now there were tears falling from my face.
He said nothing as he opened the door once again and left. How could he leave when I needed him the most? How? Why? I sat on the kitchen floor with my back up against the lower cabinets. I started to talk to myself.
"Why is he leaving us? I need him. How can I tell him about his own grandchild if he's not here?"
"Grandchild?" Mom said appearing out of nowhere.
