Well, here is the first chapter of the new sequel!!
It's not exactly the greatest, but I hope you will all like it.
Believe me, this fanfic will get more exciting as it progresses.
This is only the beginning!
Chapter 1
Mel’s POV
Kevin and I were in the back lounge, relaxing and watching TV, hoping to forget about the mayhem happening, when Joe came walking in, slumping down on the couch beside us with a sigh. I straightened up and looked over at Kevin, who just shrugged.
“What’s up Joe?” He asked. Joe’s head suddenly snapped up, as if we had disturbed his thoughts.
“Um… nothing,” he replied, but by the way he said it, I knew something was up.
“Joe, it’s not nothing. Is it something about Nick?” I asked, starting to panic slightly. Was he hurt? Did he run out of insulin?
“Don’t worry about Nick, “ he muttered, shocking me slightly. “I know for a fact that he’s okay.”
My eyes widened with shock at this announcement. “What?! How do you know? Does your dad know? Do you guys know where he is? Are you going to get him?” Joe just stared at me as I rambled on, asking a ton of questions, before I felt Kevin place a hand on my shoulder.
“Calm down Mel,” he laughed. He looked back up at Joe seriously, “So, how do you know?”
Joe sighed again. “He called Ashley.”
“What?!” I screamed again in shock. “And how do you know this?”
“Because she called me,” he stated plainly, and I felt stupid for not have thought of that. Of course Ash would have called someone after that.
“Joe! Why didn’t you let me talk to her?!” I exclaimed, pulling my phone out. I knew she was going to be an emotional mess if Nick had called her. I didn’t even know what he had said in the message, but I didn’t need to know. I just needed to know if she was okay. I already felt guilty enough for not going there with her, so knowing that she was now all alone in our apartment, probably freaking out, made me feel even worst. If I could be able to comfort her in anyway possible, at least that would make me feel a little better.
I quickly dialled in her number and pressed the phone to my ear. I tapped my foot impatiently as the phone rang once, twice, three times, but it just went to voicemail. I hung up and tried again, but it was the same thing. I got no answer. Now, I was starting to panic. Had something bad happened to her? I tried one last time. Maybe she was just busy or something and couldn’t reach her phone. Yeah, that had to be what was happening right? Just one more call, and I was sure she would answer this time. I dialled in the number one last time with trembling hands and waited… waited… waited… but the only familiar voice I heard at the other end was the one of her voicemail. I sighed and hung up. “She’s not answering,” I mumbled, stuffing the phone back in my pocket.
Kevin wrapped his arms comfortingly around me and I melted against him, happy for some sort of comfort. I was absolutely panicking. I had no clue what was happening to my best friend, there was no way I could simply go and see her since I was all the way across the ocean from her, and I just knew that she was probably an emotional mess. Again, I found myself wondering how I got involved in all this emotional drama.
