I drove up to the parking lot of Sunshine Valley High. My hands were tightly gripped onto the steering wheel, preparing myself for the jungle that is highschool. I hit the brake pedal when I noticed a slim built brunette float across the lot with a numerous amount of people. Out of habit, I rolled my eyes when I realized who it was. Ava Greenely. My ex best friend, --- and the most popular girl in our school.She stopped in front of my red truck and gave me a wide evil smile and opened her mouth.

"Slut" She mouthed at me. Next to her, her new best friend, Kelsey giggled trough her teeth, along with the rest of the group. After that, they just walked on by, still laughing at the insult that was just thrown at me. I took a deep inhale, let it out and kept driving on until a could find an open parking space. Alex and Aaryn jolted out of the truck and ran away before I got the chance to shut off the ignition. i stepped out of the drivers seat and instantly, there were eyes on me, I could hear them whispering silently in each others ears. Pretending to not notice them , I just walked on by.

"Ella!" I heard someone calling my name when I arrived at my locker. I turned around to realize that it was my friend... my only friend, Jessica Lane.

"Hey Jess" I greeted her when I tried to remember my locker combination.

"So, are you stoke for tonight?" Jessica bounced. "I finally got ALL the seasons of The O.C....not to mention three bags of popcorn!"

"Jess" I sighed. "I can't go"

"What? Are you serious?" She replied, a little down-hearted. "How come"

"It's Linda" I grunted. "She's making me take the twins to some concert tonight"

"Can't you tell her no?"

"I tried!" I said, snapping my locker shut. "Then she started rambling on about her house, her rules."

"Ugh. That really sucks Elles." Jessica whined. "We've planned this thing for months!"

"I know. And I`m sorry. Next Friday Okay?"

"Sure Sure. So,,, What concert are you going to?"

"Um..." I paused, trying to remember. "The.. Jonas Brothers?"

"OH MY GOD" Jessica screamed in my ear. "I CAN;T BELEIVE YOU'RE GOING TO MEET THE----"

Just then, the oh-so glamourous Ava and Kelsey walked by.

"Hey Who.re" Ava taunted when she got close to me, "Hooked up with any other guys latley?"

"Ava just let it go okay?" I grimaced."I already told you what happened"

"Yeah" Kelsey joined in the conversation. "Too bad it was a LIE!"

"KELSEY." Jessica glowered. "JUST SHUT UP!"

"Oh whatever Jess" Kelsey rolled he eyes. "Just watch, one day, this little slut you call your best friend will go behind your back too. And when she does...."

"Kels. Enough" Ava ordered her. "They arent worth it."

"You're right" Kelsey calmed down. "I don;t want to get anger marks for the Jonas Brothers concert tonight."

"Later bi.tches" Ava grinned while she strutted away. I groaned inwardly.Not only did I have to deal with Ava at school, now she had to be at the same venue as me.

"Oh My God" Alex said to Aaryn on our way to the concert. "Aaryn...CAN YOU BELEIVE IT! WE ARE GOING TO MEET THE JONAS BROTHERS"

"I know I know!" Aaryn squealed in reply. "Maybe, finally Joe and I will fall inlove, like were were suppose to. Alex its fate. Joe and I are MEANT to be together."

"It's a good thing we're rich" Alex bragged. "Then Mommy wouldnt have been able to buy us these private meet and greet passes. I love us."

"Ella." Aaryn spoke to me. "It's bad enough we have to ride in this hideious car of yours, but now you're driving way too slow."

"Yeah. If we were on a donkey, we'd be faster than this" Alex and Aaryn snorted. "God Ella. You're so dumb"

I held in the anger for my stepsisters by taking in a deep breath. I squeezed the steering wheel as tight as i could to releive my stress. "Guys, there's nothing I can do about it okay? We're in traffic. Deal with it"

We were at a stop light, when a pink mercedes pulled up next to us. I turned over to see Ava, wearing her Prada sunglasses and her Gucci outfit she bought two summers ago. From her car, I could hear her music blastng from her radio. OOH. THIS IS AN S.O.S DON'T WANT A SECOND GUESS...."Oh wow" I heard Alex sigh. "Ava is SOOO cool. Ella. Too bad you arent friends with her anymore... maybe you wouldnt of been such a loser."

"Yeah" Aaryn agreed. "But remember Ali, its her own fault. Afterall, she is the school slu---"

"SHUT UP" I scolded at them.

"Ella Ella Ella" Ava said, lowering her volume. "Why don't you just admit what you've done."

I again, ignored Ava and drove away when the light flashed green.
