Okay, I always have really good news. You know how before I said my aunt was having her twins? Well, my mom tricked me and surprised me with tickets to my first JB Concert. It was so awesome. Chapter 2
(NO ONE’S POV)
“What’s going on?” Nick asked, worried.
“It’s Max.”
“What about him?”
“Nothing, just be prepared for the tears”
The door rang and Lauren sprinted up the steps. She opened the door to see Madison with make-up streaming down her face, showing the markings of dry tears.
“Oh Madi.”
“He didn’t come, he stood me up!” Madison sobbed.
“He did what!?” Nick yelled.
“He stood me up!”
“I’ll be back.” Nick said.
“What are you doing?” Lauren questioned.
“I’m going to take care of that punk.”
“Don’t do anything your going to regret Nick.” Lauren spoke calmly.
Nick grabbed his jacket and ran outside put his keys in the ignition and drove to the school.
“What do you think he is going to do?” Madison sobbed with fresh tears streaming down he face.
“He probably won’t do anything but yell at him.” She held Madison. “I hope.”
Chapter 3
(NICK POV)
I couldn’t believe Max stood her up. As I drove through the night to the school, I started to think. Why am I doing this? I should be there with Madi comforting her, but instead I am going to the dance to do something I will probably regret doing. I took the keys out of the ignition and walked into the school.
“Nick, hey NICK!!!” Olivia yelled. Olivia was my older brother, Joe, girlfriend.
“Hey”
“What are you doing here little bro, I thought you weren’t coming.” Joe said.
“I wasn’t planning on it. Do you know where Max is?”
“No, why?”
“He stood Madi up.”
“He didn’t” Joe said.
“Oh poor thing!” Olivia said. “She must be heart broken.”
“Yah, she is. I have to find Max.”
“Dude, don’t do something you are going to regret.” Joe said.
“Oh, I am not going to regret this.”
I walked around the gymnasium for about ten minutes when I laid eyes on Max. He was making out with a girl I didn’t recognize. I took a breath and walked over. I pulled them off each other.
“Dude, what are you doing?” Max questioned, standing to face Nick.
“This” Nick pulled back his arm and punched Max in the face, knocking him to the ground. “That’s for standing up Madison”
Nick walked out of the school. His phone started ringing. He picked it up, it was Lauren.
“Hello?”
“Where are you?”
“On my way back to your house. I took care of Max.”
“You didn’t hurt him did you?”
“I broke his face if that’s what you mean.”
“NICK!!”
“I’m in your driveway, talk to you in a second.” I hung up the phone and got out of the car. When I opened the door, I saw an angry Lauren and a still crying Madison. As soon as I walked in Lauren got up and smacked me on the arm.
“What’d to that for? You could have gotten hurt!”
“Well, he broke her heart so I broke his face.”
“Nick, what are we going to do with you?”
“Umm… let me off for helping a friend?”
“This is the only time. You could have gotten hurt!”
“Gosh Laur, you sound like his mom.” Madison laughed between the tears.
That sent the trio into a fit of laughter.
“I guess I kind of do.”
Nick walked over and gave Madison a hug.
“Thanks Nick.” Madison whispered.
“No problem, I’ll always be here.”
