Not Too Far
Chapter One: Joe's POV.
Yeah, everyone's okay now. Kevin waited until he was out of the hospital and until he knew for sure that Nick and Christine were recovering well before asking Spencer the big question. The question everyone knew he would have to ask someday.
When our parents found out they nearly bawled. Well Christine's mom anyway. She got mad at Alana for being to irresponsible to her younger sister. But they were all glad that we were safe. Turns out there was no murderer on the loose. We were all imagining it. I don't know how, but it was all in our imaginations.
I walked in the hospital room and looked at the gorgeous girl laying on the hospital bed. Even being hospitalized she looked stunning and gorgeous.
"Christine?" I asked quietly.
She began to stir and her hazelish brown, but mostly hazel eyes opened. I missed looking into them for the past two weeks.
"Joe?" she asked quietly.
I smiled and walked over to her bed. I held her cold pale hand in mine.
"Yeah babe, it's me" I said.
She smiled and looked over at me.
"There really was murderers on the loose Joe. You believe me right?" she asked.
I was quiet. The cops said that there were no murderists. We were all dreaming. But here, Christine keeps on stating that there were murderists.
"Babe, there were no murderists. We were all dreaming" I said quietly.
Christine's hand tightened in mine.
"Of course there were! I saw him with my very own eyes!" she said her voice slightly rising with anger. "You don't believe me?"
Her eyes were looking at me. The doctor told me that they had given her some medication.
"Take some more medication" I said changing the subject.
She dropped my hand and just stared out the window.
"Leave" she said.
I blinked twice holding the bottle of tablets she was suposed to take.
"What?" I asked.
She cleared her throat.
"Leave. I don't need you here to tell me that there were no murderists out when I saw one with my very own eyes" she said coldly.
I put down the small container.
"Fine. I was going to tell you that Kevin and Spencer are getting married in one month but I doubt you care. No one believes you Chris. So just drop your attitude" I retorted walking out without a good-bye.
Sometimes, girls can really tick you off.
