Hey guys. This is just something I was thinking about for a while and finally typed up. The song is called, Calling You, and its by Blue October. If you havent heard it, you should listen to it :D Anyway, here it is! Let me know what you think.
Calling You
There's something that I can't quite explain.

"I love you so much. Words can't even describe it." Nicholas whispered into the receiver of his cell phone.
"Babe, that's got to be the hundredth time you've said that." his girlfriend of six months whispered back, her mouth forming a smile that she knew Nick could tell was there.
"Well you can expect to hear me say it again at least another thousand times, and there's nothing you can do about it." he shot back playfully.
"Nick, I miss you so much." Emily said with sadness filling her soft voice. Nick sighed and looked out the small window at the night sky going past. Touring was something he had to do, and he loved it, but it wasn't the only thing he loved anymore.
Well expect me to be calling you to see
if you're okay when I'm not around.

"I miss you too, but you know what?" Nick said preparing to make his girl smile again. He loved her smile.
"What do I know?" Emily asked him, a smile already beginning to form on her face.
"I will call you everyday when I'm not busy with a show. I'll have to make sure you're okay without me around. I know how crazy you can get without me there to keep you calm." Nick laughed and his warm brown eyes lit up when he heard his girlfriend laugh with him.
"Nicholas Jonas, I am not crazy." She laughed defending herself. Nick smiled, wishing he was with her. He hated being away from her. He missed her hugs and kisses and just seeing her smiling face.
"Babe, tell me you love me." Nick whispered into the phone once again. Being on a tour bus, he had to be quiet so he wouldn't wake his sleeping brothers.
"I love you, Nick." Emily whispered ever so sweetly. Nick closed his eyes, picturing her face.
"I love the way you make that sound." he said back and opened his eyes again to reveal hundreds of bright stars shining in the dark sky. Emily smiled for what seemed like the millionth time since she first started talking to Nick. If anyone could make her smile on the day the world ends, it would definitely be him.
"There you go making me smile again." she joked. Nick laughed quietly.
"Am I trying too hard?" he wondered out loud.
"No, you're trying the perfect amount." Emily assured him.

"When I call you tomorrow you have to tell me about you're dreams you have tonight." Nick smiled at the thought. He loved when Emily told him about her dreams. They were normally very amusing alone, but listening to her try to describe them was a whole other story. He got a kick out of how she would always have to correct herself and make the story seem so confusing, but he understood every time.
"Sounds like a plan." Emily agreed grinning at the memories of when she would tell him her dreams before.
"Are you going to dream about anyone in particular?" Nick hinted about himself.
"I don't know. I don't exactly decide that." Emily said obviously. "But I'll let you know." she continued.
"Okay, deal." Nick chuckled. He sighed out of tiredness and ran a hand through the brown curls that rested atop his head. Emily rubbed her tired, blue eyes. It was late for both of them, but it was the only time Nicholas had time to call that day. Emily didn't mind, she was up late pretty much every night anyway, and she really wanted to talk to the boy she loved and missed dearly.
"Babe, I'm still in shock." Emily whispered to the phone.
"From what?" Nick asked curiously.
"That you actually picked me, out of the other millions of girls out there." she said quietly, yet happily.
"I wouldn't want anyone else but you, and you know that." He said causing his girlfriend's lips to form another smile.
"I love you." She said still smiling.
"I love you too."

"You know, before I knew you, I wasn't sure if there really was someone out there for me. It was hard. But then I met you." Nick paused smiling, "And I realized how great life really was. I fell in love with you. After that, everything seemed better, newer, and it's because of you. When I'm with you, I feel like I can do anything."
Emily smiled, "Really?" she asked him quietly.
"Of course. And that's another reason I can't stand being away from you." Nick's voice faded into sadness.
"I know, I hate it too. But it's your job." Emily reminded him, trying to keep the sadness from taking over her voice.
"Yeah, I know. But just remember that even though I'm hundreds of miles away from you and I'm singing for thousands of other girls, you're the only one on my mind. I love you more than I could ever say." Nick said causing Emily to blush.
"You are so amazing, you know that?" She smiled and pushed a lock of her thick brown hair behind her ear.
"I try." he chuckled.

"So how is everyone back home?" Nick asked, even though he was really only concerned about if she was doing okay.
"They're good I guess." Emily answered. She yawned.
"What about you? You doing okay?" Nick asked about her.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I miss you a lot though." She sighed.
"I miss you too." he said back truthfully. They both sat in silence for a few minutes, just staring out their windows at the stars that filled the sky. "Tell me those three amazing words again." Nick whispered.
Emily smiled and told him. "I love you."
Nick couldn't hold in his smile. "I love the way you say that. Only you can make it sound so perfect." Emily smiled and Nick knew it. "Am I trying too hard again?" Nick asked laughing quietly. Emily shook her head smiling.
"No, Nick, you're not. Don't worry." She laughed.

"Are you tired?" Nick asked looking at the clock. It was one in the morning where he was. Emily looked at the clock in her room. It was about three am where she was.
"A little bit." She yawned and then continued. "Are you?"
"Kind of." He answered. Emily laid back on her bed, her phone still pressed up against her ear.
"So how about you tell me what you dream about tomorrow, too." She said, bringing back the topic of what she was going to dream about.
"Okay. It probably won't be as good as the way you tell yours though." he chuckled.
"Oh, I think it will be." Emily laughed. Nick smiled and thought about how lucky he was to have found her. She was perfect for him in every way.

"Babe, you still awake?" Nick chuckled.
"Yeah, kinda." Emily yawned.
"You sound tired. I don't want to keep you up all night." He said politely. "Normally I wouldn't mind but I can barely keep my eyes open." She said laughing slightly.
"Okay, well I'll call you tomorrow as soon as I get a chance." Nick said quietly. He was getting tired himself.
"Alright. I miss you Nick." Emily whispered, "and I love you."
Nick smiled. "I love you too." He said, "and don't forget, you have to tell me about your dream." he continued.
"I won't forget, but you have to tell me yours too." she said, her eyes closed and her head rested on her pillow.
"Okay I will." Nick promised.
"Okay I'll talk to you later. I love you." Emily whispered with a smile on her tired face.
"Goodnight beautiful. I love you too." Nick hung up the phone with a smile on his face. He quietly got up from the couch he had been sitting on and made his way over to his bunk. He was careful not to wake his sleeping brothers as he laid down and closed his eyes. After a few minutes, he drifted off to sleep, dreaming of being with his girl again.
Once Emily heard the click of the phone that Nick hung up, she hung up herself. She set her phone on her bedside table and laid her head back on her pillow. Her eyes closed and she pictured her boyfriend's smiling face, which caused her to smile too. Not long after that, she had fallen into a deep, dream-filled sleep.
