Wow. Thank you Hayley and Mrs. Tayler Noel Jonas.
(Who's your favorite Jonas Brother btw?)
Here's Chapter 2.
Tell me what you think.
CHAPTER 2
I got back to the hotel about two hours later with a huge smile on my face. I really enjoyed spending the morning with Jamie and Sam. We made plans to meet up again the following day, and this time I told them that I would try to bring my brothers along so we could play an actual game.
When I got to the room, I saw Nick's back facing me, he was peering through the closet, trying to decide what to wear today.
"Nichooolaaas!" I shouted in a sing-song way as I ran towards him and jumped on his back.
"Whoa!" he yelled out, surprised by my attack.
"There you are! Where were you? I thought you were only going for a run? What took you so long? We have an interview in 2 hours!" Nick suddenly said. That's Nick for you. He might be the youngest (well, except for Frankie), but he's also the responsible (and the most serious) one in our group.
"One at a time man!" I said as I plopped on the bed.
"I did go for a run. But then I got to a park and saw two girls playing soccer --" I started.
He shook his head, laughed at me, and said, "I should've known! It's not even 10:30 and you've already started flirting!"
"Wait! You didn't let me finish!" I said as I sat down and looked at him, squinting one eye as if to give him an evil glare.
"Ok, I'm sorry Joseph, now please, continue" he said, still shaking his head and laughing at me as he sat down on his bed.
"So yeah, I met the two girls. They were sisters. The older one, Sam, is 18, and the younger one's 6. The younger one, Jamie, has Down Syndrome, and also happens to be a fan. It was actually a lot of fun. Jamie was really adorable. Remember how the kids were when we performed for Special Olympics? And it was sweet that Sam was really taking time to teach her sister to play soccer. So there, we spent a couple of hours just kicking the ball around so Jamie could get the hang of it. I'm meeting up with them again tomorrow, and I was wondering if you, Frankie and Kevin would want to go to." I said and then took a deep breath. I didn't realize how fast I was speaking.
I looked at Nick and saw that his face had gone blank, then he suddenly smiled at me.
"Looks like you really had a great time Joe. I can't believe you said that so fast!" he said, again laughing at me. "But sure, count me in. Sounds like fun. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll leave you with your goofy smile while I try to decide what to wear for our interview today." he said as he stood up and headed back for the closet.
"Cool! Thanks bro! One down, two more to gooo!" I said as I jumped out of bed and looked for Frankie and Kevin.
I caught up with Frankie and Kevin as they were playing Wii in the living room of the hotel suite. I told them what I told Nick, but I don’t really know if they understood me, I was just babbling as the two of them continued playing. They did say yes though, so I guess my mission was complete!
Now to text Sam. Yes, I did manage to get her number, but once again I made a fool of myself while trying to get it from her.
*flashback*
“Well, we better get going. We promised our mom we’ll be home by 10” Sam said as we were fixing up their makeshift posts.
“Joe! Play again tomorrow!” Jamie said excitedly.
“Jamie, they might be busy” Sam said, giving me an apologetic look. I smiled at her and shook my head.
I squatted so I could face Jamie, “I’d love to play with you tomorrow. Tell you what, I’ll try to bring Kevin, Nick and Frankie, so we can play 3 on 3” I told Jamie.
“Yay!” she shouted as she wrapped her arms around my neck and gave me a huge hug. I hugged her back and stood up, carrying Jamie.
“I’ll walk you guys to your car” I said, facing Sam.
Sam smiled at me and nodded as we walked to their car.
She opened the front door and I put Jamie down.
"Thank you Joe!” Jamie then said as she kissed me on my cheek. This kid really made me feel good inside.
"I’ll see you tomorrow, Jamie!” I said as she hopped on to the passenger seat.
"Thanks for playing with us Joe. You have no idea how happy you made Jamie” Sam then said, smiling at me.
“Don’t mention it. I had fun too.”
"So I guess we’ll see you here tomorrow at around 7:30?” she asked as she closed Jamie’s door and started to walk over to the driver’s side.
“Yeah, okay.” I said.
"Wait!” I suddenly shouted as I ran in front of her and we were looking at each other straight in the eyes. I tried to get my phone from my pocket, but I couldn’t get my eyes off of her. “Um, I, uh…” I then started stammering and simply handed her my phone.
“Let me guess, you’re asking for my number so you could tell me if your brothers can come tomorrow or not?” she said, grinning at me.
"Uh, yeah!” I said. What was I thinking? Why couldn’t I have asked for it properly? I then unconsciously slapped my forehead which made her laugh at me.
She then punched in her number on my phone and handed it back to me, still grinning at me.
“We’ll see you tomorrow, Joe” she said, shaking her head and still grinning at me as she got to her car.
*end of flashback*
So yeah, I, Joseph Adam Jonas, just made a fool of myself in front of a girl. And it wasn’t even intentional.
I then sent Sam a text message saying that my brothers will be joining us tomorrow. I once again had a goofy grin on my face as I sent the message, thinking of the two special girls I just met. I couldn’t wait for tomorrow.
