Chapter 6
Kevin and Buddie
I’ve never had sushi before, and let me tell you, it’s…ok. Kevin took me to this amazing shushi restaurant! It was really yummy. “So, how do you like Hollywood so far?” Kevin asked. “What I like, is spending time with you and your brothers, where at, I don’t care, as long as I’m with you guys, I’m happy,” I smiled. This was totally true. It was awesome to be around them, they are so sweet. “You remind me of the sister I never had,” Kevin smiled. “Really? Because you’re like a brother to me, you’re just so easy to talk to,” I replied. It’s crazy how things work out. “You know, Nick talked about you all afternoon,” he said. I smiled, I probably would’ve screamed if I’d been with Layla and Annie. “Really?” I asked. It was kinda hard to believe. “Yeah, I bet you two will click really quickly,” he replied. That totally made my day. Annie and Layla would flip out!
Annie and Joe
“I’m sorry, I’m not the best dancer,” Annie smiled. “It’s ok, don’t worry, I’m not the best either,” Joe laughed. Annie was just being shy. “So, Layla’s pretty loud huh, not as shy as the first time we met her?” Joe asked. He sounded interested. “Yeah, she’s a lot like you, but she’s got a really soft side too,” Annie said. Then she smiled, she knew Layla would flip out. “Please don’t tell her and I won’t tell Kevin you like him either,” he said. “How did you know I like Kevin?” she asked. Had she talked about him too much? What had happened? “I could just tell by the way you talked to him today playing golf,” he said. Joe was good at noticing things. “Please don’t tell him because I don’t know if he likes me or not,” she replied. “Don’t worry, your secret’s safe with me,” he replied. “As is your crush on Layla,” she smiled. Annie and Joe would be great friends, that was easy to see.
Layla and Nick
“Did you have fun golfing today, despite the fact that you lost?” Nick asked. “Yeah, Joe’s hilarious, he’s so much fun,” Layla smiled. “You kinda like him,” Nick said. “Is it as obvious as your crush on Buddie?” she asked. “That bad?” he asked. “Yeah, pretty much,” Layla laughed, “but it works because she totally likes you too.” “Really?” he smiled. Not just a fake smile, a huge toothy smile. “Yeah, pretty much,” Layla said, “But don’t tell her I told you.” “Don’t worry, I won’t, it’s cool, but don’t tell her I like her either, I’ve got a surprise for her,” he said. “It’s cool, I won’t,” she replied. Nick sighed, letting his secret go this soon would be a bad thing. Then the whole surprise the boys had planned would be spoiled….
