Chapter 7;
Alina’s POV
I leaned back in my seat of the plane. The flight attendants had said we were going to be landing in Los Angeles in about an hour so I decided to take out my laptop. I set it on the fold out table on the back of the seat in front of me and waited for it to start up. Once it did I went to my diary and began typing.
Dear Diary,
I’m on my way to L.A. Yep, I’m on the plane now. Alyssa’s sitting next to me, sleeping of course. Mom and Dad are in the seats across the isle. I’m really excited to get to Los Angeles, but nervous too. I don’t really have much to say so I think I’m just going to take a quick nap so I’m not too tired later.
L.O.L.,
Alina.
Joe’s POV
“Are we there yet?” I asked my little brother who was seated next to me on the plane. We were on our way back home to L.A. and I could not be more excited.
“Obviously we’re not, Joe.” Nick said as if he were annoyed. He probably was since I kept asking if we were there yet for the past hour. Nick laid his head back against the seat and closed his eyes. I didn’t want to sleep so I took out my new laptop that I got three days ago. I’m not exactly a computer wiz, so I don’t know everything it does, but it seems really awesome. I opened it up and went on paint. It was one of the few things I knew how to do. So, the rest of the plane ride home I worked on my amazing picture of Barney and me. It was pretty spectacular if I do say so myself.
Alina’s POV
“Alina! Hey Alina wake up!” I opened my eyes to see Alyssa’s face. “Come on! We gotta get of the plane!” She said happily. I yawned as I unbuckled the seat belt and grabbed my carryon bag. We stepped off the plane and into the airport. This was the part of traveling by plane that I didn’t like too much.
“Alina, come on. Pay attention, hun.” My dad said, awakening me from my daze. I’m always a little out of it after I take a long nap. “Come help me get our bags.” He said and grabbed my arm, pulling me towards the conveyer belts that were spitting out suitcases.
“Hold on.” I said and set my bag down on a counter next to where Alyssa was standing, her iPod blaring in her ears. My laptop slid out of the bag when I set it down and I would have put it back in but my father was calling me. “Lyssa, watch that.” I said pointing at my stuff. She totally ignored me since she couldn’t hear anything but the music, but I left to get our luggage anyway.
Joe’s POV
“Joe, come with me and Nick to get our stuff.” Kevin said to me as we walked into the luggage claim area. It was kind of crowded and really hot. It didn’t help that we had to wear little disguises that consisted of a hat, black ray bans ,and a scarf so that we wouldn’t get recognized. And let me tell you, the airport is one of the worst places to wear disguises to. Everyone thinks you’re some creeper or terrorist or something. Anyways, I set down my laptop on some counter by a girl that was whisper singing to herself, and I hurried over with my brothers to get our stuff.
Alina’s POV
“Dad, exactly how many suitcases did we bring?” I asked as we waited for our bags to come to us. So far we had gotten one of them.
“Four I think. Ooh, is that one ours?” He asked pointing at a blue suitcase that just passed by us.
“I’ll get it.” I sighed and pushed through the people in my way, saying some excuse me’s and sorry’s along the way. I finally caught up to the suitcase as a hand reached out and grabbed it. I looked up to see a guy with a hat and black ray bans on. He had a scarf wrapped around his neck and looked like he was in hiding or something.
“Oh, is this yours?” The guy asked me. I nodded and he handed it to me.
“Thank you.” I said and hurried back to my dad. I didn’t want to get caught talking to that guy. He seemed like a bit of a creeper.
Joe’s POV
I watched as the girl walked away, dragging her suitcase behind her. She was really pretty, but she definitely seemed creeped out when I grabbed her suitcase. Well, I probably would have been too if I was her. Once I had found the suitcase that belonged to me I went back over to get my laptop, followed by Kevin and Nick.
“We’ll be outside, Joe.” Nick said and they headed out to find our ride. I nodded and went over to the counter. I quickly grabbed a laptop off of it and ran to catch up with them. I didn’t want to get lost.
Alina’s POV
Once we finally got all of our bags, we went back over to Alyssa and my mother who had been in one of the gift shops looking through magazines. I looked at the counter and noticed my laptop was further away from my bag than it was before. I grabbed it and placed it back where it belonged without another thought.
“Alright family, we’re here!” My dad said happily and put his arm around my mom.
“Let’s go have some fun!” She said and we walked out of the airport.
