CHAPTER 1
-Sam’s POV-
“I’m free!” I said out loud as I skipped all the way from the front steps of the school to the parking lot. People were probably staring at me and giving me weird looks, but I didn’t care… I was free! Don’t get me wrong, I like school, a lot actually, but I just really needed a break. I wanted to catch up on sleep, on books I never got to read, and I wanted to spend more time with my mom and all of my friends, and if only his schedule would permit, Joe, my boyfriend.
I smiled to myself as I got inside my car. Boyfriend. I still get a silly grin on my face when I think of Joe as my boyfriend even if we’ve been together for the past five months. I still couldn’t believe it. Never would I have imagined that Joe Jonas would fall for someone like me.
As fate would have had it, I suddenly heard Joe’s silly rap coming from my phone. He said it was his Muffin Man rap which has now evolved into the Sammy’s Man rap.

Sammy’s man!
I groaned and laughed as I heard his voice, trying so hard to rap. It was really hilarious and cute at the same time. He programmed it on my phone the last time we saw each other, which was three months ago. He said he had to have a special tone assigned to him because he was my boyfriend and all. Before the tone could repeat, I quickly flipped my phone open.
“Saaaaaam!” a very cheerful Joe yelled into my ear.
I laughed. “Hello to you too Joe”
“Missed me?” he asked
“Joe, I just talked to you this morning when you woke me up… A little to early if I should remind you” I told him, giggling.
“I said I’m sorry” he sneered, “I just didn’t want you to be late for your last test” he said sincerely.
“I know, I know. I was just teasing” I told him.
“Wait… So you didn’t miss me?” he said with a sad voice. I could just picture him pretending to pout and giving me a puppy dog face.
“You already know the answer Joe” I told him.
“Yeah… Well… I just want to hear it” he whined.
I laughed and shook my head even though no one could see me. I then breathed and said, “I miss you Joseph”. I knew how much he would cringe at me using his first name.
“I miss you too Samantha Marie”
As much as I wanted to wince at my name, I sighed as I realized how much I missed him. I loved hearing him say my name.
“You okay?” he asked after a few seconds. I didn’t realize that I became silent.
“Oh, sorry. Yeah I’m all right. So, what are you going to do today?” I asked him.
“A show tonight and some interviews later. Same old. What about you?”
“Catch up on some sleep, read some books, be a couch potato” I laughed
“And where do I fit in with all of that?” he asked, chuckling.
“You tell me” I teased
He sighed and then said, “Aww Sam, I really wish I could see you”
“Me too Joe. We will, soon. When you guys take a break” I told him, trying to be positive for the both of us.
“Yeah… In what? 3 months time?” he grunted “Oh shoot, Sam, I have to go. I’ll call you later. Take care”
“Ok, you too” I said as we both hung up.
I then drove back to my house, looking forward to a day of completely doing nothing… Something I haven’t done in a long while. I got my keys and opened the front door.
“Mom?” I shouted as I got inside the house.
“In here honey” I heard her shout from the living room. I walked towards the room and then…
“Surprise!”
My jaw was wide open as I looked around the room and saw Emily, Tay, Kevin, Nick, Joe, Frankie, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas and my mom all with huge smiles on their faces.
