I'm glad you guys like it so far! Here's the second chapter.
Chapter 2:
Kellie and the four boys sat in the family room while their parents were in the kitchen talking about who knows what.
“So, how long have our parents known each other? I can’t believe I didn’t know about this.” Kellie said excitedly.
“Uh, about a year I think.” Kevin said.
“Oh.” Kellie said sitting back in the couch. Joe, who was sitting next to her, was so tempted to just throw his arms around her but knew he couldn’t. He got up and walked out to their car, he needed to be alone. Nick and Kevin looked at each other. They hoped Joe would be ok.
“Yeah, didn’t you know that?” Frankie asked. Nick wacked him over the head.
“I mean…you should have known!” Frankie covered as Kellie gave the guys a confused look.
A little while later the adults called the kids in for dinner. Nick went to go get Joe.
“Joe, are you gonna be alright?” He asked climbing into the back seat of the giant SUV to join his brother. Joe nodded. Nick put a hand on his brothers back.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered.
“You don’t have to be sorry Nick, it’s my fault she doesn’t remember anything. I promised…” His voce trailed off.
“Don’t be so hard on yourself.”
“I can’t just sit around like nothing happened! I…I really loved her Nick and now we might as well pretend like nothing ever happened.” Joe said pressing the heels of his hands into his eyes.
“Well, dinner’s ready so I’m gonna go eat. You can either stay here or join us.” Nick said getting out of the car. Joe sniffed.
“Ok, I’ll be inside in a few minutes.” He said wiping his eyes and checking his reflection. Nick shut the door and walked inside to the kitchen to join everyone. A few minutes later Joe walked in, his eyes were still a little red from crying. He didn’t look up from his plate once the entire time.
When everyone finished Kellie put her plate in the sink and went up to her room. She needed to tell her best friend, Becca who was at her house!
“BECCA!” Kellie said once her friend picked up her cell phone.
“Hey! What’s up?”
“You’ll never guess who’s at my house!” Kellie said excitedly.
“Who?” Becca asked.
“THE JONAS BROTHERS!” Kellie tried not to yell.
“Really?! That’s so cool!” Becca tried to sound excited. Joe was walking up the stairs; he was going to go talk to Kellie for a while.
“Yeah! Nick’s so cute!!” Just as he was going to knock on her door he heard that. Joe slowly stepped away and walked down the stairs. Kevin ran up to him.
“What happened?” He asked, Nick walking up.
“She thinks you’re cute.” He said looking at Nick and walking away.
Kevin and Nick stood there looking at each other not knowing what to do. Nick walked up the stairs to Kellie’s room.
“Come in!” Kellie said when she heard the knocking on her door.
“Oh, hi Nick!” She blushed. He walked over to her bed and sat down.
“Hey.”
“It’s so cool finally getting to meet you guys.” Kellie exclaimed.
“Yeah…finally.” Nick said under his breath.
“Listen, I need to talk to you about Joe. He can tend to be a little…jealous?” Nick tried to think of the right word.
“Jealous of wha-“ Kellie stopped midsentence and her mouth dropped. Nick realized what he had just implied.
“Oh, no, no, no not jealous like…that! I meant more like…” He didn’t know what to say.
“Oh, my, god…you…wow. I’ll be right back.” Kellie said getting up and walking out into the hall leaving Nick alone in her room. He looked around her room at all the posters of himself and his brothers when he spotted something familiar. A small heart in the corner of one of Joe. Nick got up and walked over to the poster to get a closer look. His eyes shot open at what was written in the heart,

Had no one noticed that was there…or was it still there for a reason?
