Hey ladies...guess what...I think I may have another chapter for y'all. It's not much, cause I'm kinda out of ideas at the moment, but it's something, I suppose...anyway...
Chapter 9:
“Rise and shine, sleepyhead.” Ugh. The mattress was just too comfortable to get up from. But this voice, this irritatingly beautiful voice, was dragging me from my slumber. “Come on, Rock-star. We gotta get going. I gotta attempt to repair your radiator, not to mention, the blown head-gasket. It could take all day, and I am sure you don’t want to spend your whole day in bed.”
“Ugh. Yes I do.” I groaned, but sat up. She looked so adorable in her mechanic coveralls, I just had to grin. “You had breakfast?”
“No, you hungry?”
“How about, since you’re dragging me out of bed, you take me out for breakfast? I’m sure you can afford it, with how high my repair bill will be.” I smirked.
“Alright, then. But you gotta get up.”
“You eat burgers for breakfast?” I asked, eyeing her plate. She shrugged and nodded, taking a bite of her sandwich. I looked down at my pancakes and began cutting them into bite-sized squares.
“Mind if I ask you a question?”
“You can ask—doesn’t mean I’ll answer.”
“Touché.” We grinned at each other. “What made you want to be unreachable?”
“Well,” How do I explain to a girl I’ve known for less than 24 hours that I am immensely jealous of my brother and his girlfriend, for not only being in love, but being vampires as well? “We just finished our tour a few days ago, and I just needed a break from my brothers. They were starting to drive me crazy.”
“Oh.”
Our breakfast continued with small talk. She didn’t talk about her family or what had happened to them, and I didn’t talk about my reasons for just taking off from my brothers. When the check came, I made an attempt to grab it but she was too quick.
“I believe you said I was paying.” She smirked at me.
“I was just kidding. I’m pretty sure I can afford to treat you to breakfast. I mean, after all, I did use your couch last night.”
“Don’t worry. I got it.” I frowned at her and she laughed. “You think pouting is going to let you get your way?”
“Yes.” I pouted more, which only increased her giggling.
“Come on, Rock-star.” She slid out of the booth and stood. I watched as she walked over and paid the bill. She chatted with the lady who had been our waitress…Ruth, I think her name was… and was now behind the register. Then she motioned for me to move. Oops…I had been so focused on watching Zee, I totally forgot we were leaving.
