Chapter Two
*TWO YEARS LATER*
Joe walked up his front steps with Kevin. “I seriously wish Christina had a Myspace. I think we should switch over to Myspace contact.” Joe said as they walked in.
“Joe! Christina replied!” Mrs. Jonas said.
“Thanks Mom.” Joe grabbed the letter and walked upstairs.
www.myspace.com/christina_is_gangster. Don’t ask, my dad made it up. I think we should move our lettes over to Myspace messages...well add me if you have one!
-Christina
Joe logged onto Myspace and searched her Myspace.
“Found it.” Joe noticed from her display image that she was very pretty. But her profile was private, so no looking at pictures until he added her. He click ‘add as friend’ and waited. She was online, so this wouldn’t take long, hopefully. He checked all his messages and once he was finished he had a message saying Christina had accepted him as a friend. He went back to her page. She was very pretty and had brown hair and brown eyes. In one picture, Joe could see her hand. Black fingernails with hearts, he noted, Purity ring.
Joe smiled. She wore a purity ring, a promise ring, just like him. He wrote up a quick message for her and clicked on her blog entries. He clicked on the one that said, ‘my new Myspace’ It said:
‘hey guys! My name is christina! Age 14! Birthplace Sydney, Australia! Birthdate august 21st, 1989! Hair color brown! Eye color brown! Height 5’4! Weight 115! Random facts time!
I wear a purity ring, otherwise known as a promise ring.
I have three older sisters.
I have three piercing in each ear.
I would post more, but it’s nearly midnight. So bye…..
-christina’
Joe laughed. She seemed very hyper when she typed this, even though it was almost 12:00 in the morning when she typed it. Joe looked over her page more. Her song was ‘I Want It That Way’ by the Backstreet Boys and her background was black with purple hearts all over the place. Her picture was sort of sideways, like she had held the camera sideways. Her bangs were covering up one of her eyes and she had a smirk on her face. Joe couldn’t wait for her reply. He checked a few things on Myspace and noticed that he had new messages from Christina.
‘hey! I was hoping you had a Myspace!’
‘that’s exactly what I was saying before I got your letter. Lol.’
‘lol. So what are you doing?’
‘I just got home from school-wait, wouldn’t it be really early where you are? It’s 3:00 here.’
‘I have no idea what time it is I just know it’s dark…lol’
‘What about the clock on your computer?’
‘it doesn’t work right. Lol. My mom just came in here and told me to go to bed! It’s 5:00 a.m!’
‘lol. Well, goodnight! Can you be on tomorrow? Not at 5:00 a.m. unless you want to be. It is summer now.’
‘yeah, I’ll try to get on’
Joe watched as her ‘online now’ title disappeared. He logged off and went outside.
